Thats the first time I've even seen that interpretation. I suppose you're going off of the body being hidden in smoke but I don't see it disappear and its impossible to tell definitively. At any rate the temple starts collapsing before he "dematerialises" and in the DS ending its specifically stated that "I can sense him fading, but he is not gone" so he clearly performs the feat while alive and not as a spirit. Not that I really get your point. Where the **** else would he be drawing the power from? Even assuming you're correct he'd be a weakened spirit.
I'm not going to nitpick over TOR's shitty visuals, guy was clearly dematerialising not just putting on a lightshow, and whether or not he had fully vanished at the point of the attack is irrelevant, as his spirit well could have left his body already. What's more telling is the fact that when the Emperor speaks, the HoT reacts as if his voice is coming from all around him, not the corpse.

What Scourge senses being also irrelevant, as as a spirit he still would have retained a strong presence in the Force.

And my point is that he did what Nadd did:

So uh to answer your point he got the power from the immense nexus of dark side energy that was all around him. 👆

And the Hero ragdolled him because, get this, the Hero is staggeringly powerful.
Sure he is, but no, the Emperor was clearly spent and incapable of fighting back at that point.

The whole point of the Hero fighting Vitiate is that no one else in the Order is powerful enough to resist him. Also the Hero is repeatedly stated to be the strongest Jedi alive and was the most powerful member of the team of the most powerful Jedi even as of Act II. She's clearly more powerful than 'Thor and fully capable of performing all of her Act I feats with ease.
Right, right, except Lana and stuff. What proof exactly is there that the Barsenthor couldn't resist him? Aside from the Jedi opinion of course, who are clearly clueless when it comes to the Emperor given the fact they sent Tol Braga & co. capture him lmao.

But no, he's just said to be their best weapon/greatest Jedi etc. as I recall, not necessarily conductive to greater power and/or mastery over the Force. I'll laugh at the misfit band they brought to take Shitiate being the most powerful members of the Order later.

I'm sure Beni is making you envious enough given how much better a debater he is; no need for me to do the same. 🙂
