Guy who works for a Time Travel Agency, steals their tech and goes rogue to rescue someone he cares for:
LT. AL CALAVICCI
After Sam Beckett disappears, Al discovers the Quantum Leap Project has been running a parallel project and developed a working time ship, hanging Sam out to dry as they no longer need the data he was providing.
Al steals the ship, and gathers a crew, determined to find Sam, somewhere in time.

Hot female well trained in kicking ass, dresses in white, can pilot the ship:
COL. WILMA DEERING
Used to providing support to hot head Buck Rogers, she doesnt mind going on a time adventure. She gets a break from saving his ass, and gets returned with no one the wiser.

Nice guy scientist, kinda goofy, who has developed size changing technology:
WAYNE SZALINSKI
He's not 100% on board with this, but he really cant say no. This Al guy needs help, and his family has said they'll wait for him and that he's doing a good thing.

Two guys in one body guy:
LT. TUCK PENDLETON & JACK PUTTER
Working with Wayne Szalinski, they've refined their miniaturization tech to allow them to switch places at will, or both be full sized simultaneously. When one's inside the other their physical stats double.
These two will run maintenance on the ship.

A couple of guys recruited for their criminal expertise and ability to kick ass:
ROY O'BANNON & CHON WANG
Their wanted posters show they had decent prices on their heads.
Al figures a couple of guys used to being on the wrong end of things, and breaking the law will come in handy, once they get over the strangeness of their new situation.

Battle couple who should be together, but arent, due to their complicated "history":
EMMA PEEL & JOHN STEED
Well versed in espionage, able to think on their feet and fight, all while dressed quite sharply. They take to time travelling with typical British stiff upper lips.

Rip Hunter: Captain Jack Harkness (Torchwood) Immortal time-displaced former operative of the Time Agency, afer the Big Bad killed his entire Torchwood team he used his vortex manipulator to travel to various points in time to confront the Unknown Assassin picking up some new teammates in the process.
White Canary: Fiona Glennane (Burn Notice) Former IRA bomber, now helps people using her considerable ass-kicking skills. Visited by Jack in the late 90s Fi joins him after the assassin kills Michael Westen.
Atom: Alex Mack (The Secret World of Alex Mack) Telekinetic teen able to transform into a sentient puddle, visited by Jack in the mid-90s joins the team after the assassin kills her parents.
Firestorm: Richard Jacks and Helen Hyde (Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde) Brilliant biochemist and hypersexual sociopath inhabiting the same body, visited by Jack in the early 90s and join him after the assassin kills Richard's girlfriend.
Heatwave: Tate (Cohen and Tate) Hot-tempered psychopath and partner of Cohen.
Captain Cold: Cohen (Cohen and Tate) No-nonsense professional killer pissed that the assassin kills his target so he and his partner join Jack in the hunt.
Hawkgirl: Bo Dennis (Lost Girl) Fae succubus visited by Jack in the mid-20 teens, joins the team with Dyson after the assassin kills her lover Lauren.
Hawkman: Dyson (Lost Girl) Fae werewolf, loves Bo but is cursed with the inability to love anyone.

HAHAHAHA!!!! Thats great!!! 😱

Okay, build a team, where each character has something that ties him/her to the next.
These ties can be really direct, or really a stretch!
If you can go in a circle with it, tying the last character to the first? Even better.

For this build, DC/Marvel characters ARE on the table (yay!), BUT, they must have had some sort of live action version in TV or movies (boo!).

Black Bolt is asonic powered character who isnt actually black...

...but Echo DeMille is. He uses his voice to beat opponents.

Zatanna does too, by speaking backwards.

Preacher wears his collar backwards. His best friend is Irish like...

...Banshee. Banshee has a daughter named Syrin.

Syrin is cute!

Black Canary is also cute. She has that bird motif going on...

...like Isabeau d'Anjou (LadyHawke).

She is in love with a guy who, like Black Bolt, isnt black!

That's a good team, but the rules are confusing like wha huh? I believe I can make it work, but it's going to take some thought.

I mean you can go direct. Wolverine has a HF. DeadPool has a HF and uses guns. Rambo uses guns and is a vietnam vet. Dr. Manhattan is a vietnam vet...

Or just off the wall. Movie Spock is into Uhura who is black, Hoban Washburn is into his wife, who is black. He's a pilot, like Sky Captain...

Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) Intelligence. A telepathic half-Faerie from the French-Cajun town of Bon Temps who carries the Hepatitis-V virus.
Victoria James (Twilight) Assassin. An immortal British vampire who is also a widow.
