Movie/TV Team Builder Game

Went with a boy band formula i found on TV TROPES for this one.

MORGAN EDGE-The Unscrupulous Manager: Is a manipulative, controlling mentor that exploits their client(s) for their own gain.

ALPHA-The Heartthrob: The unofficial Face of the Band, and the one who was put there to draw the Squee! of millions of adoring teenage girls.

GRAVITY-The Shy One: Nerdier than the rest of the band, usually The Quiet One. He's cast because Nerds Are Sexy.

SPEEDBALL-The Cute One: A second heartthrob. Less sexually threatening than the Sweet One, and often meant as a foil to the Bad Boy.

KARMA-The Bad Boy: The one with a rougher edge to him. He's the one wearing the black shirt and jeans or leather jacket in those videos where they're not all wearing matching clothes.

CM3-The Older Brother: A cool, reassuring figure that the girls can relate to.

Morgan Edge creates/funds/publicizes the team to compete with ones like The Teen Titans/The Champions, fill the void left by teams like The Young Avengers/Young Justice.
His plan is all in the timing, as he'll make a mint as the team gets more and more famous, then set them up to die heroically and very publicly, saving Metropilis, after which he'll make even more in commemorative memorabilia sales.

As for the archetypes, Alpha has the hair, the smile, the outgoing nature to easily be the heartthrob.
Gravity's small town roots mean he'll be the most unused to so much attention.
Speedball has eveything going for him Alpha does; the hair the smile the attitude. As the youngest member he just needs a couple years to achieve full heartthrob status.
Karma rubs everyone wrong, but likes picking on the Speedball most as he's the youngest. When they go at it, its a guy who bounces off of and into things against a guy who cant be hit. The only thing that results is property damage.
CM3 is the most experienced, and helps keep the team focused, breaks up fights between Speedball and Karma. The wisdom of Solomon means he'llbe the one to realize Morgan Edge is up to no good.

The idea for a Russian LXG came to me last night.

Captain Marko Ramius (HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER) Captain Nemo

Connery stars again, this time as the rebel Captain with loyal crew & advanced sea vessel, stealing the spotlight as usual.

Anatoli Bourkeev (EVEREST) Allan Quartermain

Rugged outsoorsman & mountain climber instead of hunter. Bad ass enough to climb Everest without oxygen.

Dana (THE LAST VAMPIRE PRINCESS) Mina Harker

Beautiful and bloody, she has that immortal fighting her evil nature thing going on.

Grigori Rasputin (RASPUTIN) Dorian Gray

Rasputun has that immortal NOT fighting his evil nature thing going on. He says he can be trusted, but c'mon.

The Russian (THE PUNISHER) Mister Hyde

Forced to join the team. A monster of a man, he is barely controlled violence. Barely controlled by...

Dr. Irina Spalko (INDIANA JONES FRANCHISE) Dr. Jekyll

The alluring Doctor has a handle on the big Russian, matching her brain to his Brawn. A patriot, she'll do what's best for Mother Russia.

Sebastian Caine (HOLLOW MAN) Hawley Griffin/Rodney Skinner

Required American character. More Hawley than Skinner in attitude, he's taken Skinner's 'help us, we'll cure you' deal. He's determined to have some fun along the way, though.

Ensign Pavel Chekov (STAR TREK) Tom Sawyer

The young nice guy. Like Quartermain and Sawyer, he and Ramius will bond, as both serve on ships. He's on a 'secure the future by going to the past' mission, as happens on ST. Of course he's carrying future tech in and around Soviet Russia, so, he may cause more problems than he fixes.

GABE LAW

(Superman stand in)
ovt. operative assigned to Mae Lin & Hawk as they operate on American soil. US and Chinese Govts have joined forces to stop the Tao Tieh Cult.
Superman connection: The most physically powerful of the team, stats increased nearly 100x. A nice guy and family man, just interested in keeping everyone safe and beating the bad guys.

ASIAN HAWK

(Batman stand in)
There when Mae Lin revives in a tomb set into the Great Wall. Becomes her guide, at request of the Chinese Govt.
Batman connection: As street level as this group gets, being a regular guy. Relies on skills, wits, weapons, gadgets.

MAE LIN

(WW stand in)
Comes out of suspended animation in a tomb to stop a Tao Tieh worshipping Cult that a prophecy foretold would try and bring them back '1,000 years later across the Western sea'.
WW connection: Exotic beatifu, warrior from a group of female warriors, armor amd weapons, comes to the modern world to save it.

BULLETPROOF MONK

(Martian Manhunter stand in)
Is running a parallel mission, as he and 2 others have discovered the prophecy after a run in with the Tao Tieh Cult.
Martian Manhunter connection: The philosophical warrior of the group, his people (fellow monks) are gone but he represents their teachings.

SPLINTER

(Aquaman stand in)
Is one of the other earned MAs helping Bulletproof Monk after facing off against the Tao Tieh Cult.
Aquaman connection: Half human hybrid, leader of an aquatic people.

BRUCE LEROY

(Green Lantern stand in)
The third MA helping Bullet Proof Monk. All 3 are underground legends in the NYC MA community.
GL connection: Fearless energy wielder, his traing skilland willpower producing The Glow.

KATO

(Flash stand in)
Joins the group once the adventure goes from NYC to LA, and a massive brawl breaks out as the Tao Tieh Queen comes to life. This is before he started working for the Reid family.
Flash connection: His 'fight vision' slows opponents diwn to his senses, sonhe perceives things as a speedster might.

A CRIME SYNDICATE:

1) Boss
As the name suggests this guy is the leader.
A very smart person with great charisma,while he knows no mercy for anyone who fails him he's a fair ruler.
He needs to be someone who is feared but also respected by people under him.
KATHRYN MERTEUIL

After a...minor setback during her school days, Kathryn is clawing her way to the top, using her family's money and connections to get her foot in the door of as msny shady business ventures as possible, becoming a major player. She's surrounding herself with like minds, to assure success.

2) Consigliere.
After a life spent on crime,he has now retired from business but he still works as the "devil's advocate",basically his job is to say"boss your idea is shit"
Very wise and experienced,must be at least 60 years old.
HANNIBAL LECTER

He's literally gotten away with murder, and has a lifetime of experience and sage advice to impart.

3) The corruptor.
Not only this guy has no criminal records,but he's also a very respected man.
He has several political ties and connection with key people in the justice system.
Must be someone able to get people to trust him or if he needed,ready to use less friendly means...
ANNE DUNNE

A real spin master, painting herself the victim as she victimizes. Looking to get out of the house, and make some spending money.

4) The businessman.
As the name says this guy is very skilled in his field.
Give him 100 $ to invest and he'll be able to make 1000$ in few days.
PATRICK BATEMEN

Old school 'greed is good', he'll literally knock off the competition to keep things in the black.

5) The Nerd.
This guy is a skilled hacker,able to bypass any defence.
THOMAS GABRIEL

Once almost crippled the Country with a keystroke, and never batted an eye. He can and will, kill you and your online profile.

6) The Enforcer.
This guy is a cold ruthless man who would kill even a child if orderer,while being a sadistic person with no remorse he will always obey orders...he's no mad dog.
He will also hire and command his own group of "soldies".
He must very experienced hth,with firearm and explosives and overall a scary person able to intimidate people just walking near them.
LORNE MALVO

So low key you dont see the violence coming until it's too late. He has a cat playing with a mouse quality to him. Looking to work in warmer weather.

7) The associate(s)
You're free to add someone to the list and give him a task.
MICKEY AND MALLORY KNOX

Lorne Malvo's go to guys.
They get to do what they like, and have the money, anonymity, and security to live the family life they always wanted, too.

Made a new Fringe team.

WALTER BISHOP

It didnt take Walter long to start driving Astrid nuts with all his free time shenanigans. She insists he call their old FBI liason Boyles (now executive director of the FBI's science & technology division) and see if he can work some magic. He does.
Walter soon has the means to restart the Fringe division, wich is something Boyles himself had been working towards behind the scenes. There are no coincidences.

REBECCA HARRIS & BRIAN FINCH

Still trying to unlock the secrets and deal with the side effects of NZT-48, special agent Harris and her charge, Brian Finch, are contacted by Dir. Boyles and told to report to Walter for a new assignment.
Harris is Walter's new liason. While she and Finch help Walter investigate Fringe events, Walter (who knows a little something about pharmaceuticals) will help them with NZT-48, figuring out where it comes from, and curing the side effects of the 'limitless' pill so Finch can more safely use it.

CRIS JOHNSON

After working with the FBI to stop a nuclear attack on US soil several years ago, ising his ability to see minutes (and sometimes longer) into the future,Johnson continued to consult with them. He liked the steady paycheck. Unfortunately, no agents could long deal with his antics. Dir. Boyles reaches out to him, and puts him in contact with Walter (who knows a little something about possible alternate time lines) and FBI liason Harris.
No one can out antic Walter, Harris is used to dealing with Finch; Johnson's power will come in handy when encountering new Fringe events.

NIKI SANDERS

Dir. Boyles learns about Sanders after assuming his new position. Strong enough to rip a man in half, Sanders suffers from dissociative identity disorder, with 3 personalities fighting for control. She'd faked her death in a fire to safeguard her son, remanding herself to FBI custody, hoping they could cure her, so she would no longer pose a threat to her loved ones.
Boyles refers her to Walter (who knows a little something about psychosis and mental instability), she'll help him investigate new Fringe events while he works to make her fractured mind whole.
