The Left believes that humans are inherently good and that it's only the environment defines whether they will act in evil fashion. That's why, for example, Bernie Sanders said that global warming was the reason behind Islamic terrorism and why Obama said that poverty was the cause of terrorism. The Left simply believes that external circumstances dictate the morality of individual actors which is why the Left argues that we shouldn't hold people responsible for their actions as a general rules but instead reshape society.
The Right believes that human beings are very capable of performing evil all on their own. Which is why we on the Right see radical Islam as a far bigger problem than global warming because good people won't kill each other because of global warming. They will if they believe in evil ideologies or support those who do. This gap isn't bridgeable. It goes to the nature of humanity and our perception of that nature. But it's requiring a greater and greater strain these days to blame anybody but individual human beings in free Western societies for their own descent into evil.

South Park has other examples of the type of hypocrisy we tend to see from the left. You remember the character of Chef, voiced by Isaac Hayes?
He quit the show in protest because they made fun of Scientology, and he happens to be a Scientologist. Why didn't he quit over all the other times the show made fun of other religions besides Scientology? I dunno, reasons? Good reasons, I'm sure.
