If i remember right, a imperial guard member said Gladiator could bench press a planet...and tear apart a black hole should be harder than bust a planet.

Making things up again. You were wrong again. Move forward.

No, seriously? It's like you've taken a vow of always being wrong.
So you don't understand the word "no"?
Plus, Yu asserted that he is being powered by Chaos King in that scene. CK is long defeated and no longer charging anyone up.
Isn't benching a planet all that New 52 does? He certainly never rips a black hole in half.

And even that Miek died from falling off a cliff. Some durability.
Miek was changed by his power and it stuck.
Superman was actually shown to bench press Earth. Gladiator was only given lip service by his own son who is less than credible to say the least.

So you're going to pick what he is talking about. He corrected the guy totally. Why does no one else's amp stick?
Superman is not shown benching a planet. He is benching a machine and getting lip service from the lady.

He corrected him regarding his behavior, not his power. Not everyone else became a hermaphrodite and started to lay eggs either.

Except we are told and shown it was the weight of Earth. Kid Gladiator is just saying "My Dad has done these awesome things" with nothing to back it up.

A machine that adds the weight of the planet on him? This is comics where people fly across a galaxy in a blink of an eye, a being that threatened the east coast with a step, universal matter manipulators, elastic geniuses with plastic guns in their closet that can hurt the LT, why do you find it so hard that a machine added an earth weight on superman's bench?

The watcher said that gladiator can collapse stars with his bare hands. A freaking scientist claims superman benched the earth weight and people take that as Canon yet no one had ever seen superman benched anything close to earth. The watcher has FAR more credibility than a scientist.
Superman was on a machine that was designed to test his limits. Like when he held up one quintillion tons with one arm.
That was a machine reading of superman actually performing a feat. Similarly he was on a machine that added an earth weight to superman's press. It was an actual reading of a strength test/ feat not some lip service.

How?
The same way Superman did it.
Why?
Because Gladiator is a fair bit beyond what Dos Supes and DD were. Feats have moved on since then. Not all is lost, use another DD and it's most likely a different answer.
Pre DOS Doomsday tanked a guardian committing suicide. Such a move disintegated SBP.
Just because Superman wasn't chucking planets around doesn't means he wasn't powerful. In fact the writer of the same arc (Dan Jurgens) stated that his Superman would beat down Hulk in seconds and would beat Silver Surfer 99 times out of 100.
And had Reed Richards say that Superman was perhaps the most powerful hero on both DC and Marvel earths.

Other than that, can't argue your points 👆
I'm not sold either way, it's just an overall impression I get.

Good thing is, he did show it on panel in Superman/FF crossover.

Link to where he says this?

So Mastermind's machine readings determining that Hulk's strength is incalculable works as well?
