Things Racists/Bigots say!

Clarification: I am not a racist or bigot this thread is to post examples of racist and bigots comments and how they try to pretend they are not bigots or racists!

I'll start,

Example 1: The "I've got lots of friends who are black/gay/insert minority." This old chestnut is usually used as a defense after being picked up making a racist/bigoted statement!

"I didn't mean it like that," when whatever was said was obviously meant exactly like that!

my favorite is when racists 'compliment' black folks with "wow he/she's so well spoken"

"Black people can't be racist" is something I've seen racists say.

One that's popped up here at least, the line: "saying racist has no meaning anymore."

People using that when their racist comment/stance is called out.

Or the alternative when being negative about a minority individual, "I've met some [insert minority] who aren't like him/her.

I named an instance of bigotry. Now I can name something a racist would say. A racist would say that a guy who has a problem with white people being told to leave campus is racist.
