I agree. I may consider creating an all purpose news thread like that for smaller stories, but I think people would have trouble discerning what kind of story "deserves" its own thread and which don't.

I will never get why those on the left are so opposed to labeling radical Islamic terrorism as radical Islamic terrorism. There is no legit reason not to use the proper label.
