If gender is "fluid" and subjective then it is able to change for any reason and this could be used as a tool to simply punish people who don't agree with you by virtue of someone saying said individual is being hateful. In any case it was a pretty shit thing to actually legislate.
When the use of personal pronouns can become labeled as hate speech, you have problems.
