Black people love when conservatives condescend to them using racially-charged expressions. It is totally not offensive at all to suggest that black people cannot think for themselves, and are "on the plantation," whether it be social programs, the Democratic Party, or whatever other reason they attribute conservative values and the Republican Party being unpalatable to the vast majority of black people.
Nothing says, "I'm not racist," like suggesting that black people are "slaves," because they could not possibly disagree with you for any other reason.
Oh you mean like a bunch of leftists suggesting Kanye is in "the sunken place" hypnotized into servitude by the white people for voicing an opinion they disagree with?
I'm jokingly referring to it as a plantation because the left seems to think it is owed the allegiance of black people due to the presumption of some homogeneous collective racial interest, and the concept of an "uncle Tom" the "sunken place" comment as well as people telling Kanye that he's "betraying black people" and the arguments of "internalized racism" people use to dismiss the views of right-wing minorities all speak to this view that there is some collectivist racial interest that minorities should act within that just so happens to fall in line with democrat politics and that if they don't adhere to that line of thinking they are betraying their own race. They're acting like Kanye's some sort of race traitor for holding a different opinion.
And you can see a similar narrative going on with women, such as Hillary Clinton and the democrats' views that Hillary was owed the female vote, and Hillary saying that married women didn't vote for her because they became submissive to their husbands or some shit, and the argument of "internalized misogyny" used to dismiss the views of right-wing women or just women in general who don't buy into the claims of third wave feminists.
The expectation is that people are supposed to align with some perceived group interest of their demographic... unless it's white people, if a white person aligns themselves with "white racial interests" or "white solidarity" then they are immediately called out as racist bigots... which I mean fair enough, racial collectivism is ****ing stupid and reprehensible no matter who does it IMO. Though even arguing against the modern progressives will get you labeled alt-right, such as the mainstream media slandering Jordan Peterson as some alt-right figure, Sargon being accused repeatedly of being alt-right, Ben Shapiro being called alt-right, and I mean whatever you think of these people's intelligence or principles they are most certainly not alt-right.
I would personally never even think of or dare to tell some white person that they owe themselves to some sort of white racial interest or act like they're some race traitor if they turn left-wing.
So you clearly missed the purpose of my statement, I wasn't implying that black people who are left-wing can't think for themselves, because clearly there are people of every race on every part of the political spectrum that can. I was jokingly referring to it as a plantation as a reference to the social pressure and types of attitudes being espoused towards Kanye West in light of his most recent tweets, and the obvious fact that this issue isn't solely contained to Kanye.
Again, I wasn't calling it a plantation because there are black people who disagree with me politically, I was calling it a plantation because Kanye is being treated as some sort of race traitor for leaving it, and being told by the outrage mob and left-wing media that he needs to get back in line.
