Outrage erupts over what Trump called illegal alien gang members – here’s what he said
"Trump was listening to Fresno Sheriff Margaret Mims speak about how California’s sanctuary city laws have hamstrung her ability to prosecute illegal aliens and especially dangerous gang members.
“It’s really put us in a really bad position, and it’s a disgrace,” Mims told the president.
“We’re suing on that, and we’re working hard and I really think it’ll come together,” he responded.
“There could be an MS-13 gang member,” she continued, “I know about, if they don’t meet a certain threshold, I cannot tell ICE about them.”
“We have people coming into the country,” Trump agreed, “trying to come in, we’re stopping a lot of them, but we’re taking people out of the country, you wouldn’t believe how bad these people are.”
“These aren’t people,” Trump emphasized dramatically, “these are animals.”
“And we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before,” he continued. “And because of the weak laws, they come in fast, we get them, we release them, we get them again, we bring them out, it’s crazy.”
I don't see the issue with what he said.
