Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Says Unemployment Is Low 'Because Everyone Has Two Jobs,' Which Is Not How Unemployment Rates Work

At this point I'm not sure why the dems aren't just telling this woman to muzzle herself lol. But I love that they do not seem to be doing so.

Btw, not kidding: she majored in economics and bragged about this on twitter. This is real life.

She nailed it. I keep saying that this U3 and somewhat U6 stats are that accurate.

Having two jobs does not mean you're "employed." It means no jobs are out there that you can readily get that are good enough to need just one. It should count as underemployment which is U6.

And if she majored in economics, it seems like she got a great education. Very few politicians seem to be as "woke" as she is when it comes to employment and job statistics.

The fact of the matter is that probably 90%+ of the sky-is-falling rants against her are probably either outright lies or twists on the truth.

iirc, it was DDM who put down a breakdown of actual platform and it apparently wasn't some disastrous apocalypse like you're trying to make her be. BF later reposted it in the GDF. As you know DDM is far from being a "Lefist Socialist Commie", yet I don't think he had much against her stances. Try not to choke now.

You're correct. She wasn't a crazy left-winger socialist. Anywhere else in the world, she would be slight right of center.

My problem was with Hillary's warmongering continuance (and I had the same problem with Trump), continued corporatism, some of the shadier dealings in politics, her treatment of Bill's victims, and just her personality sucking massive ass.

Mistake, can't edit. It is supposed to say, "are not that accurate."

So, she doesn't really want a universal basic income, free college for all, guaranteed federal jobs for anyone who wants one, and for any illegal to be able to come here?

Social Justice Warrior Laments: "I Was The Mob Until The Mob Came For Me"

Womp womp.

CNN Uses Discredited "Hamilton 68" Website To Claim #WalkAway Campaign Hijacked By Russian Bots

So apparently 99% of the time when people are saying Russian bots did something it is because this place says so lol.

I also see no reason for CNN to do this unless the WalkAway campaign truly makes them nervous.

Who cares, just because she wants those things doesn't mean she will ever make them happen.

I just want to be clear on what she believes.

The problem I see, is the fact we have someone in power that actually wants does things, and the public is find with it.

I really need to look more closely into Ocasio-Cortez, admittedly don't know a lot about her aside from the sensationalist snippets you see.

Two long winded Quora posts against Trump, one after the other. A paragraph in each of them is word for word, identical, with the only change being one says he's 81, the other says he's 60. The posts vary from there.

I think I spotted one of those infamous "paid trolls" for politics. He probably did all the long winded posts there.

Only makes me mad, because it's a waste of time and money, and another example of how petty our politics has become..

Interesting, I clearly judged too soon and from too little information. I don't suppose you have a link to your previously mentioned post? I'd be interested to see your breakdown of it all.

Well here is what politifact has to say about a few of her thoughts:

Alexandria Politifact

If you want to know her thoughts surtur read all this:

https://ourrevolution.com/issues/

That's where all her thoughts are laid out.

Her wiki provides a decent summary of some of her ideas. As I said prior, I think most are alright but some are probably not reasonable at this time.

I think it's a little strange that she's getting so much national attention. She's a house candidate in a very liberal part of New York, those stances are not disqualifying there so it makes sense why she'd have success in that area of the country, it's not like she's winning her race in Montana.

Yeah, I certainly don't mind her getting a seat I don't agree with several of her ideas BUT I do like controlled chaos in the sense she can bring some newer ideas (that may or may not work) which can help perhaps shift the paradigm.

Much the same way I voted for Nader and Johnson, our system of Govt would work much better with a change to the status quo in who and how our govt runs itself and who they hold themselves accountable to.

See I can't take her seriously cuz she regurgitates the "women make 77 cents of every dollar" nonsense. Though on her site it is 78.

And this the problem. She MAJORED in economics. She spews wage gap BS still.

She is either dumb or lying.

It's not like her ideas don't already have representation in the government. Bernie Sanders has very likeminded ideas and beliefs and he came pretty close to the presidency, and may again in the future.

I guess a lot of the attention comes because Tom Perez said that she was the future of the party, which in all honesty, may be true. Young people seem to be disillusioned towards traditional American capitalism these days, and if that doesn't change, then when they age and become the large voting bloc in this country in the future, her type of policies may become more widespread and accepted.

Calling it now: Casio-Cortez for President 2032, this is after she's been VP.

She will probably get deported when it is discovered she is an illegal.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if in 2020 Sanders chooses her as his running mate.

Whats gonna happen is she gets kidnapped and they take her blood and pump it into Bernies veins.
