1. He cites his sources... in fact the majority of the video is him sharing the sources then adding his own commentary. The New York Times, The Spectator, not exactly obscure sources. Sources you'd undoubtedly be sharing with Joker and Beni if they were talking about the plight of LGBT people.
2. Tim Pool isn't just a youtuber, he's a legitimate journalist. He's worked with NBC, Reuters, Time, Vice Media, and Fusion TV, before going independent. He's been on the ground in reporting Occupy Wall Street (where he was attacked by a protester), NONATO protests at the 2012 Chicago Summit (where he was illegitimately accosted by police officers at gunpoint who mistook him and his group for a different group), "no-go zones" in Sweden where he was escorted out by police. The dude is a legit journalist whose not afraid of getting his hands dirty or being put in precarious situations in order to get the facts. He even received a Shorty Award in the "Best Journalist in Social Media" category.
3. Tim Pool is one of the least edgelordy guys out there. People like Milo and Sargon are deliberately provocative. Ben Shapiro less so than them but he can be kinda blunt and smug with the way he addresses people. The Young Turks act all edgy with all of Cenk's "OF COURSE" and Ana's "I SAID F.UCK! THAT'S HOW YOU KNOW IT'S REAL TALK!" Tim Pool? He's relatively laid back, he doesn't make it a point to be provocative. And in fact he has friends from all across the political spectrum, ancaps, anarchocommunists, republicans, SJWs, gays, etc. he's criticized the idea of western society as an unparalleled monolith with the argument that there's Eastern wisdom that could be useful to us, he's a rather tolerant guy.
4. He's actually relatively balanced in his viewpoint. He's a center-lefty who time and time again has voiced his disapproval for republican policy, and has even defended parts of the progressive movement. He's also however critical of other parts of the progressive movement that carry things beyond a point at which his principles are comfortable... which I feel like may be the black mark on him in the eyes of a lot of lefties.
5. You clearly made this comment from a position of partisan bias not really understanding the accuracy of what you were saying. Everything you said in this comment is wrong. I don't think sequestering yourself in a small community where only one person actually disagrees with you has been helping you see these things very clearly.
