Lol in NYC they arrested a 12 yr. old for writing "hail hitler" and a bunch of swastikas on the ground in chalk. Yup, he spelled it "hail".

Good stuff, the streets of NYC are safe at last!

And another kid got arrested for not standing up for the National Anthem... America's legal system is fvcking retarded.

One last mess.

Yes, the article has more nuance then the title suggests, but that's the point. Everyone hates the Boomers, and so you get click baity headlines like this.

The way some carry on about the "selfishness" of such a large, diverse group as the baby boomers, makes me wonder how much of our politics are really "daddy issues". (Related tidbit: Did you know the student protests of the 60's started because some guy wrote a book that effectively said "Your parents are screwing you."😉

Well, if YOUR generation can fix the world, have at it. If selfishness, shortsightedness, pig headedness, and tribalism is something you've outgrown, there should be no problem.

And the kid wasn't just arrested, but apparently charged.

As for the other thing you mentioned that's not the case. He was arrested for making threats to school officials. Refusing to stand is what started the incident, but it is not the specific reason he was arrested.

Even still, it's a dumb thing to arrest the kid over.

The beef is that they arrested a 12 yr. old.

They could have let him off with a warning, but why am I not surprised you'd try to defend this?

The police have to follow procedure to protect themselves when it comes to harassment. As noted, he was released when his mom picked him up. Seem like that would send the message to the kid.

Not surprised you're scrapping the barrel.

Nope, they did not have to actually arrest and charge him. That's a lie.

Nice strawman.

They took him in to protect themselves, if the police ignored a clear threat of harassment (anti-Semitism in this case), they could be face legal consequences from the school.

One more time: they didn't need to arrest and charge him lol. And I can't imagine any school pitching a fit cops didn't arrest a 12 yr. old.

😆

A $50-$150 limo/taxi ride is hardly the most costly thing from Prom Night for almost all of the attendees.

For some, the most costly will be the prom-night babies.

Flint was 49, but it was suicide.
