Lulz how does the Govt know the theft was "necessary" unless someone actually goes and investigates? One of the largest purposes of Govt is to protect "property" and this totally ships all over that. Not prosecuting some of the other crimes mentioned makes sense but not theft.

The funny part is the point about Bill Gates that is made.
Technically, he could steal $750 worth of an item and as long as he didn't do so for financial gain it would be okay.
So it is assumed that only the super destitute would take advantage of this, but nah it applies to literally anyone who isn't stealing something in order to sell it to someone else for cash.

No the professor wasn't. And Tim admits it was less that technically the school decided not to renew his contract cuz of the complaint. Though that is still more or less firing the guy since he worked there for 2 decades.
Apparently the professor likes to challenge how the students think and have them also challenge how they think. It says he "often takes on positions that are not his own in order to illustrate perspectives from across the spectrum". He wants the students to be able to confront and cope with new ideas in the real world.
It doesn't shock me that one or two snowflakes complained. It's unfortunate since so many more students were in favor of the professor and now they've been denied this teacher because of a few pathetic souls.
