I'm saying conservs shouldn't care nearly as much as they do. If they don't want their kid having to wear the thing that's fine, they're probably not a fan of their kid visiting the mosque in the first place so the kid shouldn't go. But it's not something worthy of a rallying cry. But if you visit someone else's domain as a guest, you follow their rules.

Imagine if there was an optional field trip to a catholic church, but all kids going had to take communion. What do you feel would happen?

No that would be pushing things too far because then they'd be forcing the kids to take place in the religion itself. It is however compatible to forbidding those who voluntarily chose to visit a church on a class field trip from wearing a t-shirt that says something like "God is dead".

Forbidding a t-shirt like that is also different than forcing girls to wear hijabs tho...

That is comparable to telling kids "no drawing muhammad" which makes sense.

Oh I know there's no direct parallel, but that's because by and large Christianity doesn't compel wardrobe for those outside the clergy itself anymore. I just mean that it's a closer comparison than the communion thing. And in such a case, my default opinion is "Their house, their rules". By the same token, many fancy restaurants compel their male guests wear a suit jacket and tie while allowing for a wider range of options for females. If the same class goes to one of those restaurants, the guys need to wear suits and ties while the girls should have access to all the options available. No one is making anyone attend or participate in anything going on, they're just doing what they can to keep from disrupting the day to day proceedings of their hosts anymore than is absolutely necessary.

I give Libs a bunch of shit, but conservatives can pretty easily piss me off too. I'm scrolling through facebook and see this article about a school in Colorado forcing female students to wear hijabs...

https://taphaps.com/colorado-school-students-hijabs/

I understand that many people may object to their kids wearing it and I don't think there's anything wrong with that... But the damn field trip was optional. Whether someone's objecting to wearing it based purely upon religion or focusing on the specific aspect of hypocritical sexism, either way they're probably so uptight that going to the mosque would probably just piss them off anyway so they should just stay the Hell home. This is not something that people should be flipping out about.

These same parents who are throwing a fit, are the same type who likely want religion (ie Christianity) taught in school.

Anyhow, this is rather simple, parents must sign-off of any field trips, so if they have a problem with their kids entering a mosque and being made to wear ninja headgear, do not allow your kid(s) to go on the field trip.

Personally I don't think public school kids should be going on field trips to a mosque, church, synagogue, scientology center, etc.

That just seems way to reasonable 😉

KY Supreme Court Rules In Favor Of Print Shop Owner Who Refused To Print Messages Violating His Beliefs

Nice. But...

"The GLSO complained that Adamson was discriminating against LGBT customers by refusing to promote the event."

Somehow I don't think this group would feel that a person should be forced to promote, for example, a straight pride event...

CT man arrested for razor blades mixed in with candy. No kids were hurt.

He claims they "accidentally" spilled in. Right, because everyone puts their bag of used razors over the Halloween bowl.

It amazes me that kids still TrT.

Hard not to watch that scene from The Martian where a magnanimous Chinese CEO comes out of nowhere to the rescue with superior Chinese science in a new light, after the recent knee bending by Apple, the NBA, and Blizzard.

I mean, it was obvious pandering to Chinese audiences by any measure, but now that blatant pandering just makes you cringe.

This goes for a lot of movies, like Transformers Age of Extinction where the Chinese market nets ovef 320 million, for a movie where Hong Kong gets flattened by giant robots.

Portland Antifa Sentenced To Nearly Six Years For Attacking Trump Supporter

Something any sane person will be happy over.

Though he should have gotten more than 6 years for what was essentially attempted murder. Still at least he didn't just get probation like the bike lock wielding antifa coward 👆
