Anyone here follow Legal Eagle?

He runs an incredible channel, where he covers everything from real legal issues, to the questionable legal actions in tv and movies (He's analyzed The Dark Knight and Harvey Birdman, for example), to shows dedicated to the ins and outs of law school. He's articulate, educational, informative, and has a very slick look and excellent editing.

There is another "real lawyer" out there called Viva Frei, who is essentially his complete opposite. He speaks way too fast, almost micro machine fast, he wears regular street clothes at random locations, his wife and dog and kids break into his shows often.. Maybe this is all intentional to create a "Man on the Street" vibe, and if that works for him then fine.

What I don't like, is how he's "called out" Legal Eagle for political bias. Three times now.

Eagle has not acknowledged Viva Frei's existence, so I can only assume Viva Frei is attempting to ride Legal Eagles coat tails to gain more views, and possibly siphon some of his audience.

That's a pretty shitty tactic, imo. I used to like Viva Frei well enough, but now I'm having second thoughts about following this guy.. And I hope Legal Eagle continues to ignore him, if not go after him for stealing his footage in his "call outs".

Or he actually believes Legal Eagle has a political bias. what were the details of the callouts?

Some disagreement or other about his legal interpretations of the Russian scandal, or some similar.

And if it ended at that, I may have given him the benefit of the doubt. But the damning part is how at the end of every callout video, he says how he'd love to livestream Leagle Eagle on any given number of topics, and just do a thing together.

Pretty sure if LE didn't reply on the first two tries, he wouldn't do so on the third. Probably because he recognizes he's doing just fine on his own, and the only one who would benefit from a collaboration is Viva Frei.

I came away from that concluding the exact opposite of you.

Legal Eagle seems to have a left-leaning bias and Viva Frei has as neutral as possible of a bias.

The Legal Eagle dude started to turn me off to his vids when his bias started showing. He can dress it up however he likes, but if you have a modicum of legal knowledge, you can tell when he's full of shit. Viva Frei also credits Legal Eagle in one of his videos and talks about how good of a job he did. It's not "fights" like it seems.

I don't know, the arguments may be valid enough. It just seems like he's trying to drum up views to me.
