What the heck is wrong with her?
I mean, alright, the Republicans aren't ones to criticize, but still. This is facepalm level stuff.

I hear you. That isn't something one can just take sitting down.
But, I don't know, try and show support or inspire action, without inadvertantly making things worse. I mean, CNN has always been supportive of grassroots movements, and they release an article screaming "caution".
A lot of people look up to Maxine, she should be guiding them, not setting them loose.

We want to decry her for not setting a "peaceful" example and to call her a poor leader because of it.
Yet how many Americans would say that the enactors of something like the Boston Tea Party were heroic leaders who helped forge the road ahead for a young America.
It's a weird dynamic where we can understand that violence has a place but we don't ever want to acknowledge that place unless it's for something we deem appropriate.

Violent protest may indeed be necessary. The question is, what will violence actually accomplish, and do internal methods exist?
The Sons of Liberty were fighting for representation. They had no means from within the system to enact change, and so had no choice BUT violence.
BLM and other activists DO have other channels to pursue change. They have Maxine Waters, for one, a United States representative. I'd assume they also have Joe Biden, and many sympathetic legislators (And house control, as the Dems now have a majority)

Eliminating all constituents, it's an interloop. Need recovery time and fresh faces
Originally posted by cdtmIt could accomplish the same thing the Boston Tea Party did.
I can't really disagree with your point, because context is open to interpretation. That's why I asked what violence here would accomplish.
All I know is I would not be surprised for something like this to turn violent if the man doesn't get a jail time.

Teenagers have been having fights including fights involving knives for eons. We do not need police to address these situations by showing up to the scene & using a weapon against one of the teenagers. Y’all need help. I mean that sincerely.
