DOJ: Russian Money Was Funneled to Wight-wing Commentators

[*]In 2018, Russia targeted U.S. elections

[*]In 2020, Russia targeted U.S. elections

[*]In 2022, Russia targeted U.S. elections

[*]And in 2024, American intelligence agencies have spent months alerting the public to the fact that Russia is once again targeting U.S. elections[/list]

This week, the Biden administration announced a series of efforts intended to combat the Kremlin's 2024 scheme, including sanctions and a criminal indictment against two employees of the state-owned RT media network, who conspired to commit money laundering and violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

Andrew Weissmann, a longtime Justice Department veteran and legal analyst, pointed to specific details in the indictment to emphasize that the Russian plot had the "explicit goal" of helping Donald Trump win the 2024 election.

There is also a political dimension to the story, specifically related to prominent right-wing commentators:

Employees of the Russia-backed media network RT funded and directed a scheme that sent millions of dollars to prominent right-wing commentators through Tenet Media, a leading platform for pro-Trump voices, according to a review of charging documents, business records, and social media profiles.

Most Americans are likely unfamiliar with the company's name, but Tenet has partnered with some pro-Trump, far-right commentators with significant profiles in right-wing media: Matt Christiansen, Tayler Hansen, Benny Johnson, Tim Pool, David Rubin, and Lauren Southern.

By way of social media, each of the right-wing media personalities in question issued statements denying wrongdoing, and several characterized themselves as "victims" of a deceptive scheme.

Time will tell what kind of impact this will have on the far-right personalities and their role in conservative media, but given the scope of the controversy, the story appears unlikely to fade anytime soon.

Tim "enlightened centrist" Pool is may be indicted as a foreign agent, spreading Russian disinformation for millions of dollars.

Apparently, Tim Pool's brother let the cat out of the bag. He said that Tim was a Trump supporter before the election in 2016. When asked why Pool "pretends to be a centrist" when "most of his base are Trump supporters," he replied that "a liberal who gets red-pilled is a story Trump supporters want to hear. That way, they can reaffirm their biases with what they consider to be opposing views."

My favorite part is that they're using the "but we're the victims!" defense. I hope they all end up in prison.

🙂

CNN was playing clips from these Russian assets all pushing pro-Russian narratives, Tim Pool's was him next to a map of Ukraine while screaming like a retard into his microphone that 'Ukraine is the greatest threat to America'.

But sure, he's the victim and wasn't aware he was taking the rubles 🙂

Tenet Media had their channel deleted by YouTube. The YouTubers who took money from them may be next.

Hee hee hee.

It's stupid that the "they were duped by Russia..." narrative is being pushed and not just by the traitors in question, major news outlets are doing it too.

They were not duped, they knew exactly what the words coming out of their mouths meant and where the money came from. You don't "accidentally" push pro-Russian talking points (ie lies) for years and then claim you were unaware.

Accepting $5.2M from someone, and not questioning who they are, where the money is coming from, and why they are paying you is no different than buying merchandise that "fell off the back of a truck" from a guy in a trench coat, and pretending you do not know it is stolen.

Pastor Convicted of Child Cruelty

John Raymond, a Slidell pastor who was accused of taping the mouths of three students at the Christian school he oversaw and beating another child, has been formally charged with four counts of cruelty to juveniles by the 22nd Judicial District Attorney's Office.

Raymond, who in addition to being pastor of New Horizon church in Slidell is also on the St. Tammany Republican Parish Executive Committee, defended his actions last spring as being appropriate discipline for the students.

Raymond said that corporal punishment is in line with Biblical teachings and said he he was a victim of cancel culture. His attorney, Joe Long, said that Raymond will be arraigned on December 2nd, and will enter pleas of not guilty. Long said that Raymond will not take any plea agreement.

A Louisiana jury convicted a former Survivor contestant and pastor who started a Christian school of child cruelty on Monday. Jurors took just an hour to convict John Raymond, 62, in a St. Tammany Parish court after a six-day trial.

The Slidell Police Department arrested Raymond in April 2022 on three counts of cruelty to juveniles when a trio of students at Lakeside Christian Academy accused Raymond of wrapping their heads in tape to keep their mouths closed.

One incident involved a 4-year-old pre-K student who was known for sitting on the ground while kicking and screaming during "tantrums," cops said. During one of the outbursts, Raymond put his hand over the boy's mouth and nose preventing him from breathing, police said. Raymond suffocated the boy to the point of him going "limp." Raymond only stopped after a staff member intervened, according to cops.

Just a reminder that House Republicans knew of his child cruelty charges, and endorsed him anyway:

Louisiana's Republican Party has endorsed John Raymond, who is charged with four counts of criminal cruelty to juveniles, in his bid to win a state House seat in St. Tammany Parish.

Raymond, lead minister of New Horizon Church in Slidell and founder of Lakeside Christian Academy, was arrested twice in 2022 on juvenile cruelty charges related to discipline he carried out in his role as headmaster at the school.

In a May 2023 interview, Raymond said he is "completely innocent" of the charges and has been on voluntary leave of absence from the school since his arrests.

The case is pending in state court.

A network of Russia-based websites masquerading as local American newspapers is pumping out fake stories as part of an AI-powered operation that is increasingly targeting the U.S. election, and a former Florida police officer who relocated to Moscow is one of the key figures behind it.

The following would have been a bombshell report—if it were true:

"Olena Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine, allegedly bought a rare Bugatti Tourbillon sports car for $4.8M while visiting Paris for D-Day. The source of the funds was supposedly American military aid money. Experts pointed out strange anomalies on the invoice posted online. Bugatti issued a sharp denial, calling it 'fake news,' and its Paris dealership threatened legal action against the people behind the false story."

Jackson Hinkle's post about the fake Bugatti purchase got 6.5 million views alone. Hinkle, a recent guest of Tucker Carlson's X show, was named as X's top spreader of fake news in 2023.

A former deputy Palm Beach County sheriff who fled to Moscow and became one of the Kremlin's most prolific propagandists is working directly with Russian military intelligence to pump out deepfakes and circulate misinformation that targets Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign, according to Russian documents obtained by a European intelligence service.

The documents show that John Mark Dougan, who also served in the U.S. Marines, was provided funding by an officer from the GRU, Russia's military intelligence service. Some of the payments were made after fake news sites he created began to have difficulty accessing Western artificial intelligence systems this spring and he needed an AI generator.

Republican Representative Pisses Himself During Sobriety Test After Hit and Run

A Tennessee state senator has been arrested on a DUI charge after he was filmed failing a sobriety test following a drunken hit-and-run crash in Georgia. Republican Representative Ken Yager, 77, was caught on camera stumbling around as troopers tried to have him walk in a straight line on Jekyll Island at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, footage shows.

Yager, who is the GOP's Senate Caucus Chair, smelled of alcohol and admitted to being involved in the earlier wreck, according to authorities. The footage shows the casually-dressed senator struggling to maintain his balance as he tries to put one foot in front of the other. He appears to have pissed his pants, according to the video.

In 2020, Yager successfully passed a bill forcing public schools to excuse absences for students to attend church services up to one hour each day. This year, he voted for a bill allowing county clerks to refuse to officiate same-sex marriages, as well as raft of other anti-trans legislation.

Christian Couple Charged with Child Abuse After "Botched Home Circumcision" on Son

A Missouri couple has been charged with child abuse after they performed a botched circumcision on their child at home, resulting in the child going to the hospital. Tyler Wade Gibson and Bailey Alexus Gibson were charged with child abuse. Tyler Wade Gibson was further charged with performing an unauthorized surgery. The age of the child was not disclosed.

At the home, the deputy reported that Gibson confessed he performed the circumcision and "explained that he used a utility tool to perform" it. When asked if he was medically trained, he replied, "No," but said "he had conducted research and prayed a blessing," according to the probable cause statement. On November 29th, a DFS employee responded to the home and removed five children, and Bailey Gibson was arrested.
