TPM Anakin isn’t in his early 20s, he is a kid and they focus on his potential explicitly. I mean, they literally calc his midis to figure out his POTENTIAL. But you’re on point about it most likely referring to potential as well. It is in fact similar to Anakin in a sense that HoT’s earlier accolades most likely refer to both his potential and his already developed power. Anakin is a demigod who can outperform himself to levels he normally seems incapable of (shitting on Dooku+Mortakin). His main restriction seems to be himself (or a clear state of mind/healtyh psychology). Just like in ROTS, where he is said to be the best (which is true, but not really). I don’t see HoT’s accolades as black and white in this issue, as they most likely aren’t, similar to Anakin (HoT’s prophecy and the progress he makes is similar Anakin’s anyway). But of course, if this seems baseless, then I’d say comparing his potential and how he grows to ROTS Anakin whose potential is an anomaly is unfair. Comparing him to TPM Anakin is worse, since there is a blatant context there. In HoT’s case, Bengal Morr says HoT is the best he has ever seen after they fight, and Bengal was also present in the Sacking.
Actually, if I recall correctly he killed a number of them, but that's hardly a big deal. The Tusken Raiders also hunted Krayt Dragons regularly, and I don't see anyone hyping up AotC Anakin for slaughtering them.
That's the worst kinda ABC logic I've ever seen on KMC, which says a lot.
Yeah, but who is he better than by that point who's worth their salt, exactly?
Well, Satele herself and Act I Barsen'thor.
Pretty sure that has more to do with him being the only Jedi with the experience to deal with Vitiate's mental domination than it does with him being too uber for his fellow Jedi companeros to properly support him. His showings prior to and following his confrontation with the Emperor don't support that interpretation at all.
How are you so sure?
We have a codex entry that relates the Hero's defense to his power, not prior exposure. Also, if that were the only problem, Hero and Braga who experienced it before would most likely try and teach their best Jedi to resist it like Revan did. Not to mention that Scourge was also taught about the technique and did not go on and join HoT to face the Emperor.
It doesn't really mean that at all.
Damn, if you say so, it must be true 🙂
The ****?--overwhelming him with a Force-based attack is super awesomesauce? 😛
Not sure what the problem here is, but my point is, there are a couple factors that determine how good of a duelist you are:
a) speed
b) strength
c) technical mastery
a and b are heavily determined by force amp, which HoT has a lot of it. C can't get any better for a battlemaster, which HoT is.
If there is a vague 4th factor like natural talent for melee, then like I said earlier, HoT's class JK is all about that.
