Anton LaVey (who founded the church of satan, and wrote the satanic bible) would disagree with you if he were still alive.

Allegedly Anton Lavey did not believe that the devil was a literal person, and did not worship him. But, like Aleister Crowley (who was dubbed, “the wickedest man in the world, and a satanist”), the life that Anton Lavey lived, the pentagrams and other satanic imagery/objects in his home, the manner in which he dressed or presented himself to the world, the satanic books that he wrote, and his beliefs about the devil contradict that allegation.

To my knowledge Anton Lavey's children followed his wicked path into satanism.

Many other believers/followers of the Lord Jesus Christ have had encounters with the devil and demons, either casting demons out of people, or experiencing what’s referred to as a poltergeist or paranormal occurrences.

But they’re just demons.

Originally lucifer was an anointed cherub, who was known as the angel who covers. It is believed that lucifer’s purpose in Heaven was to guard or protect God's glory and throne. In addition, Scripture appears to reveal that lucifer was responsible for leading worship in Heaven through the instruments located in his body.

Apparently, the devil was originally endued with power from God, equipping him for ministry in Heaven before he sinned, and as lightning fell from Heaven. It appears that the devil retained some of that supernatural power after his sin and subsequent fall from Heaven. The devil managed to persuade 1/3 of the angels of God to rebel against their Creator.

Revelation 12:4
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of Heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

The devil wants to be God. Isaiah chapter 14 is a record of a prophecy revealed to Isaiah by God. Approximately mid-way through this prophecy, God interjects revelation concerning the devil. Notice how many times lucifer says I will. It is a testament to his pride, which caused him to fall like lightning from Heaven.

Isaiah 14:12-17

12 How are you fallen from Heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!

13 For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into Heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15 Yet you shall be brought down to Hell, to the sides of the pit.

16 They that see you shall narrowly look upon you, and consider you, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

God does the same thing to the prophet Ezekiel. Ezekiel is talking about one subject (king Tyrus)—and then suddenly God interjects revelation about the devil, using king Tyrus metaphorically to represent the devil. But there are many things mentioned about king Tyrus that cannot possibly apply to him. For this reason, it is clear that Ezekiel is talking about the devil (who was called lucifer at that time).

Ezekiel 28:12-19

12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus says the Lord GOD; You sealed up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

13 You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created.

14 You are the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set you so: you were upon the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, until iniquity was found in you.

16 By the multitude of your merchandise they have filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17 Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you.

18 You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the Earth in the sight of all them that behold you.

19 All they that know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you shall be a terror, and never shall you be any more.

You see, the devil became lifted up in pride because of his beauty—and sinned. Rather than do all to the glory of God, and give God the glory and praise for his beauty—the devil became filled with violence from within (i.e. in his heart). As a result, he committed murder in his heart (through hate) and when he deceived Even into disobeying God (which caused her died first spiritually, and then physically).

But do not be deceived.

The devil was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

The thief (i.e. the devil) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. (John 10:10)

The devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8)

It was satan who "personally" entered Judas the night that he betrayed Jesus. This was the first time the devil didn't assign a demon to carry out his will. The devil wanted to "personally" see to it that the Lord Jesus was betrayed, and ultimately crucified. The devil took this particular occasion personally. (Luke 22:3; John 13:27)

The devil is the oppressor. (Acts 10:38)

The devil blinds the minds of them who do not believe lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

The Lord Jesus beheld satan like lightning fall from (Third) Heaven. (Luke 10:18)

But one day, the wicked one, enemy, and adversary called the great dragon, will be cast out of Second heaven (i.e. the area between Third Heaven and Earth that we call "outer space"😉, that serpent of old, called the devil and satan, who deceives the whole world. (Revelation 12:9)

We must not give place to the devil. Instead, we must submit therefore to God, resist the devil (in the Name of Jesus), and he will flee. (James 4:7)

But the newest (or youngest) person to become born again (or the “least” person in the Kingdom of God) can make the devil (which includes all demons too) flee if the believer submits therefore to God, and resists the devil in the Name of Jesus.

The devil doesn't want you to know that.

The enemy—satan—has a real kingdom in the spirit (i.e. in the spirit dimension or realm). This kingdom is meant to mirror the Kingdom of God in magnificence, beauty, glory, power, and order. At every turn, and in every instance satan attempts to copy God's throne, God’s Heavenly abode, Bible, angelic hosts, church, dress and attire, worship, power, and anything that has to do with God.

But the devil is not divine.

There is only One Creator.

The devil knows this and yet he still endeavors to be like God in every way, yet he is just a defeated, created cherub.

The adversary has many agents working for him in both the physical, natural dimension or realm, and in the spirit dimension/realm. These agents can appear as angels of light and normal people, but have sinister, ulterior motives. Many of satan's agents occupy political spheres of influence, the entertainment industry, and Christian churches.

The enemy's agents pervade every facet of human society from political leaders down to whole families (including children). Many cartoons, movies, television programs, cultural activities, songs, artwork, images, fashion, inventions, books, attitudes, beliefs, ideologies, civil and national conflicts, wars, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, and many crimes have their roots in the kingdom of darkness. Everything that goes on in this universe is either influenced and controlled by God or the created fallen cherub called satan. However, believers have power through the Name of Jesus to advance God's Kingdom on earth. Just as true believers obey the Word of God, the devil's true followers obey his word.

We are engaged in a very real battle for souls. The devil created all of these false religions to keep people from getting to God. The adversary has created demon-inspired video games, magazines, board games, and all sorts of activities including some sports, concerts, and other events to distract people from coming to God. There are numerous satanists, witches, sorcerers, warlocks, mediums, and others involved in the occult (such as those who practice Freemasonry, Spiritism, voodoo, etc.) who can attest to their existence, as well as many believers (myself included). But satan is the god of this age; the prince (or ruler) of this world. That's why the world is so sinful, rebellious to God, evil, wicked, corrupt, unfair, unequal, and unjust.

Sin, terrorism, sickness, nuclear weapons, famine, recession, inflation, accidents, disease, natural disasters, pornography, drug addicts, hospitals, theft, prostitution, doctors, ambulances, stock market crash, mental illness, flooding or floods, embezzlement, depression, clinics, war, sex trafficking, illegal drugs, guns, medicine, crying/tears of anguish, death, sorrow, or pain, terrorism, poverty, sickness, nuclear weapons, famine, recession, inflation, accidents, disease, natural disasters, pornography, drug addiction, alcoholism, theft, prostitution, mental illness, flooding or floods, natural disasters,

bestiality, homosexuality, lesbianism gay lifestyle, bisexuality, transgenderism, embezzlement, depression, child molestations, abortion centers, war, sex trafficking, illegal drugs, guns, rape, masturbation, sodomy, gangs, genocide, racism, horoscopes, tarot cards, seances, Ouija boards, Angel boards, spirit guides, psychics, sorcery, demons, necromancy (i.e. talking to the dead like Luke Skywalker does with dead Obi-Wan), augury (i.e. interpreting omens), witchcraft, soothsaying (i.e. fortune telling), conjuring, spells, voodoo, hoodoo, santeria, devil worship/satanism, divination, the practice of mediums (i.e. calling up the dead—which are really demons disguised as, and impersonating loved ones, spiritism (or spiritualism), animism, the occult, wicca, false religions (i.e. Islam, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, Catholicism, Buddhism, Hinduism, all salvation-based on/works-based religions, etc.), stargazing (i.e. astrology), prognostication, death, sorrow, and pain are the result of a world controlled by satan.

Again, the devil is responsible for celebrity worship and many activities that many perceive as harmless. It is the devil who promotes sex without marriage, drunkenness, drug use, violence, sexual perversion, murder, atheism, evolutionary theory, occultism, false religion, impure thoughts, oral sex, homosexuality (i.e. lesbianism, bisexuality, gay lifestyle, transgenderism, queerism), bestiality, human sacrifice, witchcraft, voodoo, David Blaine, Chriss Angel, and Dynamo’s real street sorcery, child abduction, gang violence and lifestyle, soap operas, mental disorders, sickness and disease, domestic violence, racism, so-called accidents.

There is no such thing as luck. It's either God or the created, fallen cherub called the devil. But human will is at the center of a symbolic pendulum at any given moment. Folks, you are either saved or lost. You are either in the Kingdom of God or kingdom of satan. Once you reach the age of accountability where you can discern between right and wrong you are faced with the most important decision of your life:

To believe in Jesus Christ and confess Him and only Him as your Lord and Savior or not to.

It does not matter what country, village, state, or part of the world or culture you were born into. There is only one God, and one Savior for the entire world. His Name is Jesus Christ. It does not matter what your social or economic status is, who your parents were, where you live, what you drive, what your educational level is, how you look, dress, talk, or act. It does not matter if you are royalty or not, rich or poor, popular or not, sick or well, black or white, American or not, blue collar or white collar, handicapped or not, an atheist or agnostic, evolutionist or deist, Buddhist or Hindu, churchgoer or not, good or bad, a convict or priest—if you have not confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord, if you do not believe that God has raised Jesus from the dead, if you have never asked Jesus Christ to save you from your sins—then friend you are lost for eternity whether you believe this or not.

There is no gray area.

The enemy knows that if anyone believes in Jesus Christ for salvation from their sin, and by faith confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that person becomes a child of the most High God—and Heaven bound. The devil knows who has the power to enforce his defeat and who doesn’t. The devil cannot even speak the Name of Jesus without falling to his knees in obeisance.

Baptism will not save you, religion will not save you, Siddhârtha Gautama Buddha or Muhammad, cannot save you, your money cannot save you, your background cannot save you, your grandparents faith cannot save you, your education cannot save you, your looks, cannot save you, your talent cannot save you, your pastor cannot save you, your parents cannot save you, your good heart and good deeds cannot save you, your charity and philanthropy cannot save you, the Roman Catholic Church cannot save you, the Pope cannot save you, Mary cannot save you, Jesus’ disciples cannot save you, sacraments cannot save you, your intellect cannot save you, the most devout person you know cannot save you. The following cannot save you: a minister, preacher, evangelist, prophet, teacher, apostle, missionary, priest, monk, rabbi, church leader, so-called holy man or guru of any kind—not even one—they cannot save you. I cannot save you.

The only One Who can save you is Jesus Christ.

You must choose this day who you will serve. You can no longer halt between two opinions. If you are on the Lord’s side then call on Jesus now! If not then remain as you are.

I am openly a Christian and have no qualms about saying as much, southern baptist if you want to know. I agree with you that the devil does have influence in this world. A few points I would like to bring up if I may.

I agree wholeheartedly.

If I may, I feel this may underplay perhaps how much we struggle against our self that "Old Man" as it is so often put. That old nature, as oppose to the "New Creation" we become when we accept Jesus.

Obviously I don't want to underplay the Devil and his actions as that would be folly, yet I don't want to see him as the only opponent we have, he is, from what I can tell, the enemy from without, at the same time we fight the enemy from within.
