Black Manta vs Tiger Shark

Started by Horrificus2 pages

Original Tiger Shark was equal to Namor in strength and toughness.
Since then, he has lost that level of power and therr have been multiple appearances where he was trying to get it back and even trying different ways to get back to that level.

So, it depends on which version we r discussing.

Isn't that more than enough to beat Tiger Shark?

At the age of 4 years old... when drunk as f*ck... Tony would still invent a better suit than Black Manta's.

I hope this is true it would make sense of a lot of his later appearances. I like his character design, I wish Marvel would give him a little respect.

A better match up would be Black Manta vs Black Mamba

lol not the point but 😆 anyways ole Normie described Tiger Shark the best, "A joke who hasn't won a fight against anybody of note in years."

yeah. He was one of the first "feral brick" types. Marvel seemed to downgrade his power with every appearance.

I think there r multiple story arcs where he is complaining about getting weaker, trying to trap Namor so he can siphon his power, and trying out new genetic experiments, all hoping he can get back to his original level.

They mutated him, changed his personality a few times, his appearance a bunch of times.

Just a disaster. A throw-away character. But, yeah, when he was created, he had potential.

I remember in one of his early showings, some hero (dont remember who), was facing off with Arliss. And Arliss laughs and explains that, while he had been wandering the seas on his own, at the bottom of the ocean Tiger Shark has "fought monsters that make an aircraft carrier look puny". Or something like that.

I thought they mighy throw one of those stories in a book at the time, but it never happened.
