Make it like Horizon : Zero Dawn. Robots that use the biomatter of border jumpers instead of dolphins for energy and to create more robots.
It'll be spectacular.

Dude...I thought this was a racist thread about nuking immigrants. I had no idea WTF was going on until your post.
Edit - People can try all they want but automation is inevitable and it has already been deployed for years. It is just slowly marching forward and will eventually subsume many low-end jobs.
Automation will obviously win in the long term.
In fact it will probably be the cause of the next economic catastrophe as many job types will simply cease to exist, the biggest and most immediate being professional truck drivers. Once automated cars become mainstream in the next decade or 2, there will be no need for truck drivers. Losing that job market will be devastating for many and will probably cause huge problems in the economy.
Because all this is inevitable I expect the idea of universal basic income to become a major political issue over the next 10-15 years.

So how do you give UBI to immigrants? If there are no jobs, come here for UBI, isn't that the biggest handout of all?

One excuse frequently used is that illegals do the jobs Americans don't want to do. Also they argue because of the very low wages paid to illegals it allows the prices of food to be kept down and without that the prices would rise.
So my question is what happens when the cheap labor is replaced with robots and illegal labor is no longer needed? What reason do we have for these people being here once that happens?

Yes. Obviously they will have to think long and hard about how to implement it if and when they do.
I imagine our immigration system would need to be dramatically changed by then, though.

Why is no one thinking about this now besides Trump and why are people resisting his immigration reform, when its actually something the democrats would be for if Clinton introduced it.

Interesting thought - What if Trump used the inevitability of UBI as an argument to excuse his immigration ideas? Might see more support then.

It literally said "atomization" which is quite specific. I have no idea how you got "atomization" out of "automation" because the two words are very very different and have enough spelling difference to make the confusion not plausible.
Unless...
It was autocorrect and the post was submitted via a mobile device. Then I can see this misspelling.
So, yes, I was quite certain that this was a troll thread about nuking immigrants until I read Jaden's post. Sorry, you can't change what I thought just because you don't it: that is what I thought.
If you don't want me to think weird things like that, please, FFS, improve your spelling in the future. 👆

In oder for UBI be helpful to anyone, it would have to be around $10-12k a year per individual.
Since SS is already basically bankrupt, where is that money going to come from, and who is going to pay it?

It was auto correct error, but atomization doesn't mean nuking anyone and you know it. Jumping straight to conclusions "he wants to nuke immigrants" is a non sequitur when the OP says "

He might see support from a few select business professionals, technology automation specialists (machine learning, AI developers, and roboticists), or idealogues. But I don't think the support would be very common.

That's exactly what atomization means.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/atomize
To atomize something is often used, in the nuclear weapons and nuclear physics communities, to refer to an effect of nuclear weapon explosions.
