He has their vote already, sure some may rage-quit going to the election booth as Dems did last cycle, but most will fall in line. What he needs to worry about is the independent/undecided/flip voter in 2020. But it should be noted that he's around 75% favorably with Republicans, which isn't too great, normally a President is higher in his own party.

I think he's said idiotic things and many of his beliefs are laughable, but he does have a cleverness about him in certain departments. Though he seemed much smarter 20, even 10 years ago. Old man brain, maybe. Or maybe his image was better protected not being in the spotlight like POTUS gives.
