It’s not for everyone.

Crime fiction, noir, and hardboiled have always been my favorites.

😆 😆 😆

im gonna watch but its important to at this point

Just watched this. It was an agonizing 3 hours I wish I could have back. Stupid boring. Cannot recommend.

Was I the only one who noticed the hit or miss de-aging technology? Sometimes it looks good, but other times it was kinda distracting. Mostly on DeNiro.

Way to long. Like an hour to long.

to those that have watched already...

Is this cinema????

I watched it on Netflix

It's more like a mobster themed amusement park ride...

Why call it the Irishman, because of JFK?

Frank Sheeran was Irish and "The Irishman" was a nickname, cuz he hung with mostly Italian mobsters.

Movie also implies the mob were behind the JFK assassination(this is highly dubious, they might have had the ability to kill him, but not the ability to cover it up).

Frank said he was Italian

He spoke about learning Italian during the war. Remember the scene where Joe Pesci gives him the ring and says 3 people have these, 1 of them is now an Irishman?

His being Irish is why he could never fully become a part of the mob.

Far from one of Scorsese's best, but a good film.

My main problem wasn't that it dragged a bit at times, but the aging and de-aging CGI and makeup, looked very noticeable at times, took you out of the scene.

Goodfellas is still Scorsese’s best, IMO.

Agreed.

Also one of my favorite movies. Would make my Top 10; likely Top 5.
