That he survived isn't the point. The point is Krayt tried to prevent a duel via force use and failed to. Why should other Krayt level force users succeed where Krayt failed?

Additionally, it seems to me that if Krayt had Cade pinned, and the next scan has Cade not pinned, that would imply Cade broke out of Krayt's tk grip, no?
