How is that any more wrong than making it impossible for a smoker to find a bar where it's allowed? Then it's understandable that you like the laws. But to smokers, they are horrible, horrible things. They make you pay out the ass, eat/drink at home if you actually want to enjoy a meal or stiff drink, huddle around in back alleys in the rain like crack heads or hookers all for something that's absolutely legal.
That is all.
Like, I think Skydiving is cool, and I like it, doesn't mean I'm gonna try it.

Yeah, people who don't like the smell of smoke
As shitty, disgusting and dangerous to everyone around as smoking is, imo, shouldn't outright outlaw it.
Just make those sealed and contained smoking boxes out of glass. Making the smokers gather in there like a bunch of nicotine addicted chimps, slaves to their drug. They get what they want, it's safe for non-smokers and you can look at them like it's a zoo. Wins all around.
I think its the worst for me, because I live with my grandmother, and I'm the only one in my immediate family who doesn't smoke, I am surrounded by it all the time and have to go in my room just to avoid it.
Worst part? She smokes in the house.
Its not like I have the money to move out either, not that thats a big enough problem that I'd HAVE to move out, but yeah.
I think I counteract it pretty good though, I eat relatively healthy and I pretty much only drink water, and by that I mean I only drink Bottled Water unless there's literally no more to drink.

This a thread to talk about the threat that thirdhand smoke provides.Thirdhand smoke is like secondhand smoke, but instead of dissipating, the carcinogens stick around in the form of a brown residue that sticks to clothes, and even hair.
You are at risk if you're a smoker and you don't change your clothes after smoking.
Yeah, the problem here is that is the idea of SecondHand Smoke isn't as bad as ALL the propaganda made it out to be.
So if third hand smoke is like second hand, then it's basically being overblown to push a political agenda.

They already have those. It's cigar shops.
Love to visit the one at Mohegan casino, with nice comfy seats to smoke your 10X marked up stoogie and wave at the sneering passerby's. 🙂

Odd, the Casinos here are smoke anywhere, one of the few places smoking is allowed in a public indoors area.Went to one once; wanted to leave after 5 mins, smoke was unbearable, my lungs hurt the next day.
Yeah, CT casino's have designated smoking areas. I only smoke the occasional cigar, and tried lighting one up. The entire row of slot players caught a thick cloud of second hand smoke, with the asian lady next to me loudly "He light cigar. Guy on end light cigar ".
After that I kind of bent my head low and around the corner to exhale, and never tried that again.

Employees don't have that option.Sure, any individual employee could work elsewhere, but SOMEONE has to work in that environment..
If you could regulate other safety hazards, I don't see why you can't regulate any job requiring working around second hand smoke (Doesn't matter if you can choose a different job. People can choose not to work in construction jobs that don't meet OSHA compliance too, but we aren't about to have jobs without basic safety guardrails and such..)

Cigars aren't as bad, imo. The smoke smell is more bearable and cigars generally don't have the high amount of toxic substances cigarette companies add to their products. Still a dick move though, if it was a no smoking area.
Asians do love their gambling.

No, it was a designated smoking area. That's why I lit up.
But the smoke volume was a bit much. Even in a smoking section, it's pretty rude to catch someone in your plume..
