Well, Milo Younapoulis(I probably spelled that wrong) is a conservative. He was having a book published and got dropped once leftists dug up shit he had said prior to his relationship with the publisher. Kevin Williamson, a conservative writer, was hired and then shortly fired by The Atlantic. Once again: it was for stuff dug up by the opposition that occurred before he had worked there.

So people are kidding themselves if they think this is anything other than the left being held to their own standards.

And if James Gunn doesn't like how he is being treated he should apologize. Not for what he said(sure that as well), but for being so gung ho to see this done to others in the past. And if he DOES agree with it, then he needs to prepare for other creators he is a fan of to also lose work as well down the road. Cuz this isn't going to stop unless people like him speak up and say enough is enough. But I'm guessing Gunn won't ever say this kind of thing is wrong.

Gunn will work again, he's a talented director, those were shock tweets from a decade ago; he's explained that and apologized for trolling and he doesn't seem to be a legit pedo. Might be a couple years though until the dust settles, but you will see his name as director.

So the only thing those Alt-Right Trumpers did in the end was potentially lower the quality of the MCU where Gunn was concerned. If that makes them happy, whatever.

Gunn should go back to his roots and direct a film for Troma.

I don't want quality decreased, but I do want people held to the same standards.

This happened to James Gunn. It's unfortunate, but meh. He is part of an emerging aspect of our culture that has lead us to this.

I admit that there's a fine line between edgelords and genuinely bad people like pedos and neo-Naizs. The ambiguity between what's a joke and what isn't is how white supremacists and other riff raff were able to infiltrate 4chan. Still, there is a demonstrable difference. I guess that difference can only be surmised through a close investigation of that person's character. So far, I don't find anything in Jame Gunn's public life to make me believe that he's a bad dude.

If you compared Gunn's comments against Milo's comments, you can notice a big difference. I listened to the episode of Joe Rogan Experience that Milo was on close to a year before he even got in trouble for the pedo comments, and even then I was shocked that he didn't immediately get fired the next day. I do believe that he was trolling, but to the average person, he sounded completely serious. He sounded like he was defending pedophilia. Gunn's comments on the other hand sound just like what they are- bad jokes. You can take offense to them, to say that he crossed a line, but you can't actually believe that he's endorsing child rape like you could with Milo.

When did Milo ever endorse pedophilia? Didn’t he claim he was the victim in that?

I think he could do a lot, he's actually a good actor, he was great in Blade Runner as well.

And if it was so what I like when people put their principles ahead of their career moves. Act like a human and stand up for Gunn. The man made the gotg whatbit is today. It’ll be terrible he didn’t get to finish the trilogy barring any 180’s from Disney.

So has anyone else resigned from GotG 3 as a result of this?

I would think some would be contractually obligated..
