No, it's a peculiarity of KMC.

So when I Sent my writeup, for example, it was through a PM, and was one post, below the 10k limit.

When Id copy/pasted it, I guess KMC then said woah there's more than 10k characters (even though the original post wasn't) and thus it had to be split.
