I'm married to a Ukranian. We're trying to fix the relationship between our countries this way. 👆
But it's true. Ukrainians feel betrayed (rightfully so) by Russians because of Crimea and Donbass. Most Russians are pretty dense to the situation and because of massive inferiority complex hapilly eat up the "we showed them" rhetoric. It's further complicated by the fact that a large part of western Ukraine identifies as Russian, so our people feel justified in attacking our neighbours.

Strongly oppose the ban. Sadly, i'm in minroty. Voted against the constitutional amendments. But it was a formality, they were pre-approved before the vote even took place.

Does Russia allow any sort of immigrants from the Middle East or Africa? Because those folks are overrunning Europe and wreaking all manner of chaos on the local cultural fabric, I would hope that Putin in his arrogant righteousness wouldn't let that happen to your fair country.

You'd think so but no. Most of our immigrants come from former Soviet countries. Once the pandemic started a lot of them left the country. There's a shortage of construction workers and other low paid workers. So the goverment's actually trying to make it easier for foreign workers to come here. We have our problems with immigrants ofcourse and a lot of Russians complain. At the same time nobody wants to sweep the streets for 300 dollars a month.
