I wonder what would be happening if they had filmed all this before covid. I doubt everyone would be gone. Its a real good excuse for social distancing they have to do to film if nobody in the world exists though.

^^^that was pretty clever yeah.

I’ve watched a couple of shows that have premiered post COVID. They’ve done a good job incorporating the pandemic into their storylines.

I don't tend to seek them out, but a news app on my phone will show stuff from various places. A lot of sites dedicated to tv/movies/comics were talking about it.

And over the weekend Misha said he believes Cas has romantic feelings for Dean.

The weird thing to me is the people who ship them who say the show has hinted at "Destiel" for years. I've made jokes about Cas because he did seem to have a gay yearning for Dean, but Dean never acted like he saw Cas as anything other than a brother. I think Dean maybe just misinterpreted the way Cas acted with "oh he's an angel he is quirky" not "my best friend the angle is in love with me".

Anyways after tonight I shall be avoiding this thread until after the finale since I plan to not watch tonights episode until next week so I can watch them back to back.

I think they did film it before covid right? I thought prior to the shutdown they had every episode but the final two done? And then they had to go back and film the final two.

Though the cast has acknowledged covid did cause some changes in the final two episodes.

I thought it was the last few episodes that were still needing to be done.

Cause this feels like it was done with the littlest amount of interacting between people as possible.... or maybe I am just reading into things.

Cause if there are literally only 5 people left for the last 2 episodes, they shouldn't have had to rewrite too much for covid. 😕 Idk, I am probably wrong.

I wasn’t trying to rag on you about the Destiel thing, more rolling my eyes at ppl who only seem to care what a character’s sexuality/ethnicity is, which has never been a deal (big small or otherwise) to me in order to enjoy something. I run across a lot of them on other sites and it gets old quick.

And I’m not hitting up this thread either, until the finale next week. I figure if you can wait so can I! 👆

There were 7 left, 5 were done but needed the effects, etc. And 2 needed to be filmed:

So two possibilities:

1-They lucked out. We've seen cosmic beings impact the entire world so it's not necessarily out of character for Chuck to do this
2-This was the final episode before they shuttered production, could be they assumed a lockdown would happen and the final 2 eps would need to be tweaked so they wrote this in

I'm sure we'll find out once the cast are giving their post-finale interviews.

I very rarely get caught up in "ships". I do want Sam to end up with Eileen, but it's not like "oh I'd be jumping for joy inside if this happens". More just how I'd like to see him end up.

Also wait, I was worried Cas wouldn't show up again, but he will. Guaranteed in fact, since we know the cast had to come back and shoot the final 2 eps and Misha was a part of that and tweeting about being on set, etc. No need for him to be there if he's not gonna show up. So that is good.

Ooh I hope you’re right about Cas!

And I think the guy who plays Lucifer said he shows up. I hope so.

^^^you aren’t making this easy for me, man! 😄

I'm really debating on watching this episode or waiting a week, and IDK WHAT TO DO. lol

Wait a week, then we’ll all watch them together!

I'm pissed cuz I got spoiled on a big part of the episode lol. Still gonna wait until the finale airs to watch. I tried to avoid news articles, but I forgot on youtube I'm subscribed to this one channel that puts up a bunch of clips from episodes and right as I signed in I saw a video and the title was a huge spoiler concerning

Spoiler:
Jack

Darn that youtuber. lol

I’m still hanging in there.

I am master of my domain!

I almost said "f*ck it I'm watching" cuz I heard the series finale was 2 hours long.

But then upon more reading, the first hour is just a retrospective featuring interviews, etc. with people. Not actual Supernatural content.

I’m looking forward to the retrospective, actually. Prob. watch that first then the last two eps.

Hmm, I may or may not watch that. I usually don't watch things like that.

My knowledge of pop culture was my undoing cuz I also saw an article titled along the lines of

Spoiler:
Supernatural steals airbender ending. And I knew that, just like the firelord, god will end up depowered but alive

Well here it is, today is the day. The last day a new episode of Supernatural will air.
