The Mandalorian not knowing what Jedi are is so damn forced.

Especially when he was alive during TCW. He may have never SEEN a Jedi firsthand, but to not even know they existed at all? Pretty dumb.

And yeah, the Mandalorians not knowing about jedi is even more silly than Han not knowing. The Mandalorians are known for passing their history down, they fought a war against the jedi in the past. They lost. They ran into Revan.

Good first episode, imo.

As I suspected, Timothy Olyphant's character is

Cobb Vanth, who is wearing Boba Fett's armor, which he obtained from a group of Jawas -- this is pulled straight from the Aftermath series.

And the end scene... Boba Fett himself(Temuera Morrison) is actively tracking Mando. Badass.

The pace was a bit slow at times imo but yeah good episode overall

Good ep, but Disney needs to fix their damn streaming service. The framerate is all over the place.

Also, the amount of references was ridiculous, and all without "hey, hey, look at the thing!" either.

Lol, I didn’t see all those references, probably because I watched it dubbed in Italian so the translation is a bit different. What references did you notice?

Off the top of my head:

Spoiler:

-Krayt Dragon
-Krayt Dragon Pearls from KOTOR
-R5 is the droid Luke/Owen almost buy in ANH
-Boba Fett (and his armour)
-The Marshall's speeder is a repurposed pod-racer engine (not sure if it's Anakin's though it sounds like it)
-Boba's jet pack still goes off when hit a certain way.
-The Marshall iirc is a character from one of the books.
-Then there's the obvious stuff like the Death Star, the repair droids, the sandpeople and the banthas etc.
