Point is she shouldnt be fired for sharing an opinion on Twitter. The number of warnings she got isnt really the point, except that it showed if she wants to put her Disney career first then she should forfeit her right to free speech.
Even Bill Burr has said thats BS what happened to her and that he might just get fired for saying that. Yet hes still saying it, because screw them.

Free speech precludes the government from prohibiting someone from that speech. It doesn't protect them from any other sort of repercussions such as their employer firing them. For instance, if someone insults their boss and calls him/her pretty much every name in the book, they won't get arrested for it, but they shouldn't expect to keep their job afterwards and then try to sue for wrongful termination thinking they'll actually win the lawsuit using "free speech" as their defense.

If Disney only want to hire people with certain political views, then they should question them on their politics at the job interview. And then we would see how that passes through the fairness and equality in employment acts.

Never said she insulted her boss. Just giving an example of how free speech doesn't mean freedom of consequences. Having looked at the last few pages of this thread, you yourself brought up the Roseanne fiasco from a few years back. This situation really isn't much different than that. People are canned for having public connections to their companies and doing embarrassing shit on social media all the time. Hell just last year when Kobe Bryant died, a school principal posted on facebook about how "karma caught up with the rapist" and lost her job as a result. If someone has the free speech to post controversial stuff on social media and it reflects poorly on the company, then their employer has the free speech to fire them for it.
I don't think it was Gina's political views Disney had the issue with. It was more about tweeting abhorrent stuff and continuing to do so even after having been asked to stop. I mean Letitia Wright hasn't been fired from Black Panther 2 for posting anti-vax stuff.
