Prove it.
After Vader first sensed Ahsoka, he contacted Palpatine and informed him of the development. Palpatine said the discovery of Ahsoka was an opportunity they couldn't pass up, that she could potentially lead the Empire to other Jedi. I took that exchange as Palpatine wanting Ahsoka alive, so she could be either turned to the Dark Side or tortured and made to reveal the potential locations of Jedi she's met since Order 66.

Highly doubt that's gonna cut it with Joker.
Originally posted by darthbane77Yes, I am aware of this, but you have to understand that Palpatine suggesting Ahsoka's value in revealing the whereabouts of other Jedi does not negate Vader's true desires regarding Ahsoka: he wants to destroy her. Filoni himself has outright stated Vader's intense desire to kill Ahsoka because of the fact she represents everything that he once was: Anakin Skywalker, his relationship with Padm茅 and Kenobi, and the Jedi.

"Ahsoka Tano, to Darth Vader, represents everything that maybe, perhaps, he was wrong about as Anakin. As Anakin he trained Ahsoka, put all of his knowledge into her hands, she became a Jedi very much in the way that he was going to be a Jedi. She reminds him of Padme. She reminds him of Obi-Wan. She reminds him of growing up in the Temple. And Darth Vader wants to destroy that, and Anakin Skywalker lives in denial of that and wants to run from it." 鈥擠ave Filoni
"Can you imagine this person that is so wrapped up in their hatred for themselves, as much as external hate鈥攖hat he just can't deal with it鈥攈e needs to destroy her. 鈥擠ave Filoni
The idea that Vader's seemingly insatiable desire to destroy everything from his past life would be reigned in by Palpatine's recognition of Ahsoka's worth in continuing the Jedi Purge, is honestly, absurd. What Palpatine said is not binding Vader to take Ahsoka alive, especially when Vader "needs" to destroy her, as per Filoni. Not to mention the fact that Vader literally states that Ezra could substitute for Ahsoka in helping him discover the whereabouts of the rest of the Jedi.
