What I love is how some on the left think that Rubio's interesting in the 2nd amendment comes because the NRA gave him money. As opposed to the more logical explanation which is...the NRA decided to give him money *because* of how he feels about the 2nd amendment.

That is what these kids don't get. And they show up to the march with price tags that represent how much Rubio got paid for every dead kid. As if the NRA literally phoned him up and said "yeah, we're gonna have about 17 dead teens, would 10 g's cover it?".

It's easier to give money to someone who supports your cause than it is to convert someone to your cause via cash.

You dumbass, think of the children! They are dying by the thousands, every day, in school. Only because of guns and no other reason.

I like how clear back packs violate their first amendment rights...somehow, lol.

The closest public high school to me has had clear back packs for years...they have never come out and whined about it.

And these kids are okay with giving up some of their rights, but not others?

When they get older, by about 20 more years, they will change their positions.

It does usually seem like people tend to lean left when they are young and as they gold older they lean more towards conservatism...

TIL: The NRA/Gun Lobby does not have its hooks in politicians

Funny then that all the gun lobby money goes to republicans and all the abortion lobby money goes to democrats... HMMMMMMMM... could it perhaps be due to a fundamental difference in principles rather than money? I mean why can't the NRA just bribe democrats and the abortion lobby bribe republicans then if it's about money rather than principles?

"Abortion lobby money"?

edit: Found some info, admittedly, I had thought the PP had doled out less.

I think you have a learning disability, because that isn't what I said.

I'm kinda noticing that like 75% of your posts are just you twisting someones argument.

You said Rubio being paid by the NRA had nothing to do with his position. You're either ignorant of politicians and their actions or being your usual dishonest self. 50/50 at this point.

I am saying I don't think Rubio suddenly only began supporting the 2nd amendment because the NRA gave him money.

If you have any actual evidence to the contrary post it kiddo.

Guns are just a tool, if you make one tool illegal, people will just use a different tool. we should be focusing more on why these crimes are being commited.

That is the idea. We cannot solve the problem of violence, but we can make it so difficult to obtain a weapon that people have to use less deadly tools.

Ah bro you forget I live in Chicago, where people have literally killed each other over a bag of potato chips.

I could step on a piece of gum by accident and get robbed over it.

#ThuggishRuggishShit

Where do you live in Chicago that this a regular occurrence? Outside of a decade I lived in California, I have lived here my entire life, and that has not been my experience.

Do you think that the NRA is getting politicians to change their positions with money?

If so, do you have any examples where pre-donation, they had anti-NRA position x and then post-donation, they then held pro-NRA position y.

Because I think your position/point would be quite poignant if you have even a single example.

Yes. Trump. He used to back gun control, even praised Obama over it oddly enough. Now he's an NRa buttboy, but I'm sure there's no correlation between that change and the NRA using 30mil of their dollars to help him.

When did Trump say he was opposed to any and all forms of gun control? This should be good.
