Guns are not going anywhere, imho. Maybe we'll get laws like banning bumpstocks or certain types of ammo, but guns by and large are safe, so I really have no concern over a bunch doomsdayers playing victim.

Nothing happens to the 2nd Amendment, as this proposed idea does not ban guns outright, only certain types of guns, which we have now. ie You're not free to own any type of weapon now and the 2nd Amendment is still in effect.

I wasn't proposing that we "should" ban ammo, I said that nothing much will come from these new proposed laws aside from minor changes. But on that thought, armor-piercing rounds should be banned federally, if they're not already.

I am not the person who is proposing this law, ergo I am not "thinking" about any guns in particular and wanting them banned.

What I said is fact so I will repeat it again for you: Banning assualt rifles (per this proposed law) would not end the 2nd Amendment, as there are already certain restrictions on guns and which guns you can and cannot own; this would just be another one.
