Yes, you are a "citation needed" troll, as well. Where demanding "citation needed" for bullshit that is obvious. But you grew out of that for some reason.

But thanks for taking up for Silent Master. 🙂

I heard sm wipes his ass after taking a shit. guess we all better stop that as well.

no more citation to support assertion, and itchy bottoms for all.

I stopped wiping my ass years ago. No longer buying toilet paper saved a lot of money.

You two are the Crunchy ButtHole Buddies.

Calm down. You need to quit being triggered all the time. You need balance.

lol, not sure if you intended it but you're mocking yourself.

Did you intend to demonstrate why your "citation needed" whining was stupid?

Anyway, this is awkward. I didn't think you would roast yourself for your past idiocy but...good job.

Here's a gif of you to yourself:

It's kinda like when he whines over people posting memes...considering he used to do that all the time lol.

Yeah. Now when He does it it is usually just pics of poop now.

He got the poop on the mind.

11 days. 3 mass shootings. 3 heroes. What makes some risk their lives for others?

As shots fired inside a synagogue outside San Diego last month, Lori Gilbert Kaye, 60, put herself in between the shooter and the rabbi and died as a result.

Riley Howell, 21, charged a gunman who burst last week into a University of North Carolina-Charlotte lecture room carrying a pistol. He too lost his life to save others.

And Tuesday inside a STEM school in Denver, Kendrick Castillo, 18, lunged at a fellow student who had pulled a gun in class, giving his classmates time to take cover. He was the lone student killed in the attack.

Mass shootings are now a nightmarish norm in the USA, and yet the tragedies often have a common thread of heroism in them as well – people whose heralded bravery and decisive actions helped stop the attacks and probably saved lives, sometimes at the expense of their own. -snip

How very dishonest of the article writer to state that "Mass shootings are now a nightmarish norm in the USA."

This concept has been beaten into our heads so much that it has become accepted fact: evolving beyond the factoid category.

It seems more transparent to simply examine annual estimates from the graph. Adding a preliminary estimate of 17 deaths from Parkland to the Mother Jones list brings the total number of deaths up to 816 from 98 mass shootings between 1982 and early 2018 – or just 23 deaths per year. That makes this sort of random mass shooting one of the rarest mortality risks imaginable. Falling or the flu are far more dangerous. Even when it comes to guns, 23 deaths a year pales next to the number of homicides by firearms in 2014 alone, which was 11,208 (69% of all homicides) and the number of suicides by firearms, which was 21,386 (50% of all suicides).

Every time one of these random mass shootings occurs, journalists and legislators invariably seize on the tragedy to lecture about the need for artfully unspecific changes in federal gun control laws. Of all the risks posed by guns or knives, however, random mass shootings are among the least likely.

Even the FBI has fallen victim to the data-bias by stating mass shootings are on the rise.

There's a confounding variable in this mix which is mass shootings per capita. The population is still growing exponentially in the US.

You should see mass shootings increasing in a parabola, if plotted. Simply because US population is growing exponentially. *

Has anyone thought to control for population growth? This is the basics of basics of population-based statistics. This is literally covered in the first year of criminology degrees. Storm had a masters in Criminology. It would be great if she was still active.

*Edit - If mass shootings are decreasing, per capita, then the correct statement would be that mass shooting rates are decreasing, not increasing. But you won't see news publications leading their headlines with that.

Also, I think we should pass national legislation that makes it illegal to post the names and faces of mass shooters. I attended a lecture from the FBI that talked about the "ripple effect" of copy-cats. It wasn't just murders, it was also suicides and hacking events. Which is crazy.

No amount of mass shootings justifies taking away our 2nd amendment rights. Period.

So ya, well anyhow, kudos to those people that tried to stop the shooters and gave their lives to save others.
