Nether did the Avengers, three times.

Tony: I'm bringing them right to you. (Meaning Middle of NYC)

Yes, Tony brought the Leviathan to the only people capable of stopping it. Although I suppose he could be more like Superman and just let it run wild through the city killing people.

Or they could of setup to fight outside the city and brought them there.

No, the Frost Giants started at the hostilities by invading Asgard. Even if you consider Thor as having started the hostilities, him hitting two people does not give everyone the right to try and kill him and his friends.

Odin told Thor to drop it therefore Thor was legally obligated to obey. He broke the law by going there and began the hostilities because he doesn't like name calling.

There's a law that states if you are commiting a crime then any deaths that occur can be murder charges on you. I remember this because some guys broke into a woman's house and she shot one to death and the other was charged with his murder. Pretty similar situation here. Thor and company "broke in" and began wrecking shit. Murder.

You mean just like the Hulk did Cap told him to go wild right?

Or when Tony was casually fighting the Hulk in the city in part 2?

To be fair, SM did state that some of the Avengers are murderers in his opinion.

Post the Asgardian law that states Thor has to do everything Odin says or face legal consequences?

That made me think of something. Human laws don't apply to non humans. Would Superman or Thor be subject to murder at all? I mean murder is human on human right? We don't charge zebras for murder after all. Let me know

Actually I just re-watched the scene from Thor, going against his farther was breaking Asgardian law. so you have a point there.

However, we don't know what their laws are in regards to what constitues murder. or even if either of the two Frost Giants Thor hit before he and his friends were attacked even died.

Yeah I thought it was a law. I mean when a king orders you not to do something I think you're supposed to obey. And from what we've seen from Thor and his hammer I think it's safe to say they died, but even if they didn't all the other deaths were still on Thor.

What do you think of the idea of aliens like Thor and Kal not being subject to human laws? I'm on the fence.

I didn't remember a law actually being mentioned so I took it more of a son disobeying his father, rather than breaking an actual law. but when I re-watched the scene I found the part where Sif says it's a law.

If they're living on the Earth as a citizen, they are subject to Earth's laws. if they are just visiting, they might have some form of diplomatic immunity. no way to know for sure unless the movie/tv show actually brings it up.

So I guess Thor is out for anything he did on Earth. Still feeling like he was murdery to those poor Frost Giants just hanging out making snow cones and shit

You mean the people that were conspiring with Loki to kill Odin and committed an act of war by invading Asgard and attacking at least two guards in an attempt to steal a weapon of mass destruction?

Edit:

Yeah those guys

Avengers decided to fight in the middle of NYC, and Tony brought the Big L right to them, they could have set elsewhere.

^ Good point.

The portal was in the middle of the city, trying to lead them anywhere would have allowed time for even more enemies to come through the portal and attack innocent people.

^ that's a fair point too.

If only Superman was there to speedblitz the Chitauri FTW. 🙂
