Considering we have the start of a Saudi-Egyptian-Jordanian-Israeli alliance forming now, it's kind of hard to argue against moving the embassy to Jerusalem. Mohammed bin Salman even came out saying that Israel has a right to exist. Something that Saudi Arabia has spent the last 60 years refusing to do.And also, Palestine has in their charter the declaration to kill all the Jews and destroy Jerusalem. Kind of hard to find peace with people who want you dead.
Where's the gain though? Did it make Israel safer? Doesn't seem so. Did it solidity Israel's right to exist? It already had that. It was a bargaining chip the US had and it was given away for what seems like nothing.
Peace talks have happened regardless of how hard the extremist on both sides want destruction. The average Palestinians as a people, want to live and they want peace, they don't want to live in shit piles and eat IDF bullets, no matter how hard Trumpers paint them as nigh mindless animals.
