And every villain in Z as a whole. XD

So here are all the forms we can expect from Broly:

The character design sheets label Broly's various forms:
"Broly (Normal)"
"Broly (Anger)"
"Super Saiyan Broly"
"Super Saiyan Broly (Full Power)"

So evidently "Full Power" is the new term of choice for his bulked-up form. No mention of "Legendary" SSJ in any official material so far. Kefla may indeed be more unique than we first thought... mmm

I guess I don't understand what the point would be of including the Dragonball Minus backstory in this film..?

LOL @ Toriyama changing canon wily-nily. The canon snobs must feel kind of foolish, after years of "Toriyama didn't do it, it's not canon!"

Hmm, does he have an email address? I want him to see Death Battle, see if some cool "new canon" comes out of it.. 🙂

Goku's retconned/Superman-esque backstory in Dragonball Minus isn't exactly new -- it's been a thing for like the last 4 years.

The sheer randomness of it still makes me lol, though.

Movie is supposed to tell the backstory/origin of saiyans I guess not all people read the manga neither did I, think it is a nice little touch, dude seems 100% spot on in the vid. Imo.

Movie's genre is officially a "space opera" just like Star Wars so Im pretty sure there will be plenty of storytelling....

There's a fine line between "space opera", and "stuffing too much shit into one movie".

If the backstory from Minus is included in this film, I just hope there's a greater reason for it(from a plot standpoint.) /shrug

I think the way Goku was sent to Earth is pretty interesting for any DB fan even if it is a copy paste Superman story. Imo.

To this day I don't understand why Toriyama even felt the need to retcon Goku's backstory into that of a secondhand Superman, but whatever. It's certainly not the dumbest or most random plot-point this series has produced. /shrug

Yeah, but Bardock wasn't even designed by him. He just up and rolled it into his own stuff.

Between that, Broly, a few other odds and ends, Dragon Ball has become one-fifth Toriyama stealing from fans who stole from him.

I hope Broly does not die and they keep him around. I dont want this to be a one shot for him...

Give it another series, and he'll be Goku's new best friend and protector of Earth.

And a jobber like all the baddies who turn good...

Yep. 👆

I don't know if they're going there with Jiren, though. They already established he beats berserk Kale. If Broly is some sort of clone, the real challenge may come from Goku no longer being able to go MUI, as he already struggled with Kale.

Seeing how normal SSJ Broly can work SSB Blue, hell even base can Hold his own against him and Goku almost shit his pants right before he went LSSJ, Broly might be closer to Jiren then we think...

The gap between LSSJ and SSJ should be retarded so I dont see how Goku can even come close to him without going MUI lot of people been talking about SSB Gogeta appearing.....

I'd MUCH rather see MUI appear than f*cking fusion... Especially since Vegeta has never been stated to know the fusion dance in canon, nor would someone with his outlook on personal power have the inclination to learn it. It'd be a completely random asspull, just like it was in Movie #12. That said, I'd still take a fusion win over a Genki Dama win, lol(even though the Genki Dama is honestly one of the most unsuccessful attacks in canon.) /shrug

As for 'full power' Broly: I'll be absolutely shocked if he's not more powerful than Jiren... And if MUI does spontaneously appear again, that would basically tell us that Broly IS more powerful than Jiren.

I know this story isn't about Freeza, but you know, he's the only one that can power up like Saiyans. That "golden" thing is very Super Saiyan-ish.

Android 17 is enhanced, Buu is magical and got strong by absorbing people, Cell had Saiyan dna. Freeza, he just trained for awhile.

What if there"s something beyond "Golden Freeza". Maybe a "Platinum"? Or a "Black"?

What if Broly is really an experiment to figure this out. Maybe Freeza was smirking at Goku in the ToP, because he realized "Hey, I can do this color change for powerups, too. What else can I do, that Goku can do?"

How about a Legendary Super Freeza?

Broly would still be a ****ing heavy hitter for Goku and the team though. The thought had occurred to me if Broly ever turned good, far as the coolness and potential factor.

That reminds me, kinda did feel that a Platinum Cooler would have fit his character better than copying Frieza with the Golden form. I know it was just fanservice, but the whole “If my brother can do it, so can I” was lazily tacked on. Not to mention color-wise, Platinum form sorta would have paid homage/reference to Meta Cooler.

Regardless, I guess whatever Frieza gets, will serve as potential for Cooler in future fanservice/crossover appearances because why not.
