Dragon Ball Super: Broly - Discussion Thread

Bulma wanting to become younger by using dragon magic is so true to her character I'm surprised it didn't happen before.

She did talk about doing it at the EoZ when the saiyans are still looking young and she's not so much.

Blue gets shit stamina? How... convenient.

Yeah, it's a stupid asspull and completely unneeded at this point in the story.

Blue stamina drain was established in the U6 vs U7 arc.

They're acting like SSB is going to significantly drain them here -- to the point where it might interfere with their ability to engage in a prolonged fight. Almost like SSJ3 vs. Boo.

Given the events of the ToP(nevermind the fact that Goku and Vegeta should be considerably stronger in this film), I find that a little ridiculous at this juncture. The whole point of stacking KKx20 on top of SSB, for example, is because the drain of Blue was far more controlled now.

They got over the drain in both the anime and the manga.

Everyone knows Bulma's wish would be to make Vegeta taller...

Except they explicitly used weaker forms in the ToP to conserve their power.

In the manga, Mastered Blue accelerated the stamina drain, so it stands to reason an even stronger version of Blue would wipe them out that much sooner.

Nope. Mastered SSB prevented (or at least greatly limited) the stamina drain. That was the whole point.

Far as Blue in general, felt it was fair that it took a considerable amount of energy/stamina to tap into, but easier to sustain due to the improved ki control, but Hackiyama making it basically another SSJ3 in the movie from the sounds of it is all kinds of dumb.

Not so sure about that. The way I remember it, Mastered Blue limited the loss of POWER, by containing it instead of allowing it to escape all over the place. This resulted in more strength, but was hell on the body.

Goku and Vegeta fought like 10 minutes in their max Blue forms, and transformed into Blue multiple times in multiple battles.

Post proof of it using more stamina as it was created to specifically combat the power drain of blue. The danger of it, is losing focus and the ki erupting. If that doesn't happen, the power doesn't go down, and as such, it's doubtful it's such a huge boon on his stamina

In truth Bulma doesn't give two flying ducks about Vegeta.

So apparently Super Gogeta is going to appear as a master character in DB: Legends and teach Shallot some special techniques... Which is one insanely random character choice if there ever was one.

It's almost as if Gogeta is going be important in some upcoming DB event... mmm

Nappa will be in this as well:

He has hair. 😱

I'm thinking that's flashback Nappa.

If he's resurrected, SSJ Nappa finally?

...

Hardly the first time they messed up like this.

We can only hope it'll be fixed to some extent in the anime retelling (assuming such will happen).

Some new images....Broly's pose kinda remindes of me when he fired off Omega Blaster in movie 10......Super Saiyan (full power) Broly ...god that looks dumb written on paper..

YouTube video

Would have still preferred a sequence where Broly goes all "Summer Slam" on the saiyans...and Piccolo but I guess that would be pointless now.

Though giving SSB a stamina drain is probably just as dumb as probably raining LSS to SSB levels.
