I understand what you guys are saying about Vegeta being able to reach SSG on his own. But why is it even needed in this movie at all?

Cause its ****in cool dawg....instead of giving him a more powerful transformation he gets one that is pretty much useless now...it looks kewl so it doesnt matter..

SSG isn't even really a super saiyan form. It's just a saiyan achieving God ki. Blue is the super saiyan version of that.

SSG should really have been called "Saiyan God", and SSB should have been called "Super Saiyan God." Then pink being the stamina saving form would make sense and would align with the fact it doesn't give them saiyan hair. It'd be a base form to build on.
