She had the strength to easily beat Herc in an arm wrestling match to the point that she didn't even feel him pushing. Titania with the PG was swatting her around like a mouse even at that strength level.
I don't have the scans on hand, perhaps they're on Google, but trust me he instructed her on the use of the PG.
What did he instruct her to do? What did he say that gives instructions on how to use the gem?

Champion is instructing an absolute NOVICE on how to use the Power Gem. That doesn't refute the arguments of people who've actually READ Champion's and other wielders of the Power Gems' depictions where it is EXPLICITLY stated that someone "Consciously" tapping into the gem is what would allow maximum use of the object.
Without Champion "Consciously" tapping into the Power Gem he won't beat Superman.
