Is it still 'CHI-I-naa'?

Except they won't 'eat it'. The costs will just be passed onto the consumers. And tariffs are a form of corporatism as they protect uncompetitive industries from competition and insulate them from the need to change. So some of those 'assholes' will suffer, but another group of assholes will be benefiting, at the expense of the ordinary consumer.

Exactly, while the 1/5 of a cent increase in the cost of a can of soup won't matter, the cost of something like a car which consist of more than just a few ounces of steel will to the average person.

Is it still 57 states?

Im guessing you forgot Obama said that

No, I recall that o-stumble. It's just odd that you'd reply with that to my comment in how Trump pronounces "China".

Interesting how Trump flipped the democrats/republicans on free trade.

Indeed, and of course other countries don't impose tariffs so it's wrong for us to do what nobody else does.
Surt: We should pass bad policy if other countries do it!
