In reality, even Republicans are saying if Balderson wins it's still not a good sign considering how close the race is, because if Dems can do this well in staunch Red areas where the Republican should have cleaned house, they can likely do much better in Purple or light-Red areas.

Democrats who are actually social liberals, ie. center/moderate left-wing economics and a strong belief in social liberty and who view people as individuals rather than primarily members of identity groups I'm happy to call liberals.
