Superman thinks a probe is Imperiex. Whether the Daxamites think this or not is irrelevant. They know that Imperiex is a universe destroyer and it is that entity that they express feat of. I don’t know why you are having difficulty understanding this.

That IS what happened, have you even read OWAW??? It was the Probe's who was going throughout the dc universe, destroying galaxies and planets, Imperiex-Prime himself and his ship stayed in one spot!!!

I concede that Imperiex never left his ship, what I don't is that you put the Daxamites at Superman-level.
They were literally empowered JUST BEFORE attacking Imperiex's ship.
Superman has stored sunlight during 30 years, the Daxamites had it just before facing the threat thus they are flying men in shiny armors.
Neither it is shown that the whole population of the 100,000 was annihilated.
I usually consider Superman's punch, when he's not holding back, the equivalent of a godblast. Only difference being that Superman uses very little energy when throwing these punches.
I think that's why Superman is so effective when it comed to killing Probes. He can unleash the equivalency of the very best high heralds too output with little energy expenditure. OWAW Supes isn't a beast because he can do the krona buster, he's insane because he can drop a dozen krona busters a second.

Why was it an off panel fight? We saw Daxamites fighting the probe and then they were shown defeated.
Entire population of daxamites was defeated actually. Not just 100,000 daxamites.
