We do know for sure there was porting involved and his memory or his recollection of events are in question.

His memory was wiped. No mention of new memories was inserted.

Moreover, subsequent scans say he flew from the end of the universe.
And judging by beard length? Just for JBL, we have a writer interview saying specifically he flew from the edge of the universe.
If you want to quibble how far that is, THAT'S a different argument altogether.

You're just being an idiot again. The comic says he flew across the space for 60 days, Superman says he left Brainiac at the end of the universe and even the writer says that.
