If you enjoy a movie, nobody can touch you. Same if you hate a movie. Personal enjoyment is 100% subjective. When you start trying to *analyze* a film, when you begin trying to critique it, that's when expertise is often needed.

Sometimes I find critics are just being blatantly biased or unfair. Like the biggest criticism of Dark Phoenix I kept seeing was - this franchise deserves a better send of:... but like that has nothing to do with the film at all and is not a legit criticism of the movie itself. They were also wayyy too harsh on Venom, yet the reviews for Spider-Man 3 were mostly positive.
That said sometimes its the opposite and a film, fans dont support at the box office or rate well on cinema score, but are actually fantastic and only critics have rated them appropriately, like for example an X-Men First Class.
I just wouldnt make my mind up on either the audiences or critics tbh. But when both seem to agree, or when either one is giving a film a shit ton of praise, its obviously worth checking out.
