Gunn's The Suicide Squad is gonna be an Elsewords story too, right?

I don't think so.

Really? Didn't they say it was a reboot?

They’ve been a bit wishy washy with that. Likely a soft reboot, I.e. in continuity, but with a different team.

But Jai Courtney is back as Cap Boomerang.

And Margot is back as Harley?

Holding at 87 now.

Did not hold very well, given its already down to 85.

Will probably land somewhere around 70 at this rate. So wont be likely to be a best picture contender.

If shes in it will be a very small role. Dont expect much screen time from Jai either.

BruceDisneyWalker has not been this triggered since Bob Iger failed to penetrate his fart pipe in the last week.

Playa is the kind of poster that mostly lurks as much as possible, reading posts by people that trigger him, making his blood boil, slamming his desk, to the point of making him post the kind of reply he posted on the last page lulz.

Clever nicknames you came up with. Now do a similar list of the dc/wb shills

best post ever...

Yeah, I know.

But the original SS did take place in DCEU, so a rebooted version can't exist in the same universe... unless it's a soft reboot, that is.

As I understood, Gunn wants to disconnect it completely from the original, so it can't count as DCEU canon anymore, imo...

Isn't Harley (Robbie) going to be in the movie?

And Boomerang (Jai Courtney).

But I reckon hes gonna die early. So will be a whole new team.

Tbf I think the entire DCEU going forward will be a soft reboot. Will have to be without Affleck, Cavill (probably) and Ezra Miller (hopefully).

Oh, don't you worry... 😂

Those idiots will keep Ezraflash and Eisenlex, just you watch them.

I'm trying to have low expectations for this, but from the trailers it looks like it has potential. I like that it looks like it's taken a little more grounded approach. Reminds me of Nolan's batman films in that respect.

It would help if his boomerang actually returns back to him every time he throws it.

That's kinda the big deal about a boomerang. 🙄

Of course, you know they will

Casual fans and critics will go on about this origin for the Joker, while they ignore the fact that this isn't the real Joker and how he would be old enough to be Batman's father by the time they met. The film may be good but like Logan, ultimately pointless.

Logan was still a part of the larger universe.

This... is just a stand-alone film, the only formula that WB feels safe about.

Low IQ opinion.

Which is bizarre and sad. DC has had the same parent company for several decades - a movie studio - and could have done a shared universe on film long before Marvel beat them to the punch. They did it very successfully in Bruce Timm's DCAU, and had some success with the Arrowverse on TV. But once they f**ked up on the big screen putting Batman and Superman together, they've had to drastically retreat back and wait for the criticism to die down before trying again. All they know is, being (superficially) more dark than the MCU is not the way to be 'different' from them. Superman in Man Of steel went too far that way, and it got worse in Batman V. Superman(which was just one of several problems with the movie.)
Meanwhile, the MCU just gets bigger and more dominant. But waiting for Disney & Marvel to falter won't work either.
