the only time i was mad over a star wars movie was when i was introduced to jar jar. the whole prequel, for me, sucked big donkey balls, but i didn't get angry at the rotting pile of abortions (a.k.a. attack of the clones) or even the dismally predictable ep3. my expectations had lowered drastically and i was prepared for anything, same with the crappy DC movies, and i am so ready to be thoroughly disappointed with game of thrones

...ironically i believe ep1 stands on it's own as a solid film, even lacking the context of it's predecessors. i haven't seen a better SW film since tbh, though i did take some enjoyment from them all...except rogue one, i was fighting sleep in the theater. wasn't mad tho 🙂

So I watched him say this all at Celebration, and firstly in terms of what Lucas told him, that was at the time of filming ROTJ. Secondly the whole thing was said in a sarcastic joking manner especially the “I just happened to be in the neighbourhood” which I lol’d at not even knowing the context.
