Huh... That actually looks pretty cool.

Bringing back Sidious shows how creatively bankrupt these new movies are. It also kind of undoes the whole point of.....Vader's sacrifice. How did no one raise their hand and go "but WHY? Aren't we just redoing a shitty remake of the OT?"

In 10 years, the OT will be loved. The PT will be remembered more fondly. These ST will be shit on.

Exactly what I was thinking. I guess the whole Chosen One thing was BS. Vader's sacrifice meant nothing, Like accomplished nothing, Rey is the real hero. She's going to call herself Rey Skywalker at the end, just watch.

If Palpatine kills Rey, Poe and Finn then itd be totally worth bringing him back.

Dreams are free.

👆

The second movie was all about re-writing Luke's character and turning him into a chump.

Third movie will be about re-writing Anakin and Palps' characters and invalidating everything the OT.

Disney Execs: "Let's make some movies that completely shit on our fanbase, ignore the character development, and will work as a cash grab!"

This is what you guys get for hating on the PT so much. You should have been grateful for what you had. They are masterpieces. And we will never get movies as good as them, again. At least not from what I can tell.

ST is much better than the PT imo. PT is long winded garbage with a series of terrible lines that sound like they were written by a 6 year old. Well I'll be fair, Revenge of the Sith is pretty good. The other ones are shit.

So I guess Fortnite had some kinda thing with showing a clip of RoS? Anyone watch it?

The Clone Wars was mediocre AF but at least it was creative and did a lot of setup.

I enjoyed the PM for what it was and RotS was good imo. The PT wasn’t great but the ST are hot garbage, as Star Wars movies. Maybe as stand alone movies that happen in alternative Universe they’re decent....?

I think the PT has a great premise but an abysmal execution. Phantom Menace for me is basically unwatchable.

At least the PT had original ideas, cool new planets and aliens, good music, and good lightsaber duels. The ST is nothing but a shitty rehash of the OT. Oh, and I really can't say the lines were any better. “We are the spark, that will light the fire that will burn the First Order down" isn't exactly Shakespeare.

It's not shakespear, but Star Wars doesn't need to be shakespear, they just need to be fun and amusing adventure movies. ST gets much closer to this than the PT, which gets so bogged down in its surface level political drivel that it forgets what Star Wars is. Plus the line you say is still miles better than "I don't like sand".

The movie isn't even out yet but the damage control is already in full swing.

It Doesn't Matter if Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Is Good Or Bad—Toxic Fans Will Try to Destroy It

Box Office: ‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’ Barely Matters To Disney

😂

No duh it doesn't to Disney, they rake in billions every year. What dumb dumb wrote that?

Also they act like everyone who criticizes the new SW is some toxic fan...can't believe they are that narrow minded.

And that's where the ST failed. TLJ is probably the least fun Star Wars movie ever made.

Making another couple of billion from the BO + billions in merchandise is not something Disney would scoff at. It's just poor damage control.

Yeah AOTC was always my least favourite (pre-TFA), but watching it after the sequels cant help appreciate how damn creative that film is.

I dont expect to love or even like every Star Wars film (given each trilogy is for a new generation, and each film is very different). But I do expect each film to expand the Universe.

I generally like the PT maybe just as much as the OT. Some things that people have problems with in the PT, i didnt.
Dont get me wrong, stuff like Jar Jar, the love story, most of Anakins dialog, all the dialog in the love arc by Ani and Padme, Padme dying of a broken heart, Vaders "Nooooo", were all garbage.
But stuff like Midichlorians, I dont get the hate lulz.
I like the fact that not every fat neck beard that mediates and studies the Jedi way can become a Jedi. Look at all the neck beard youtube videos of people acting like Jedi. Im sure they were crushed.
I like that only a small percentage of Chads could be Jedi.

All the other stuff was great. The Lore, the fights, Obi Wan, Mace, Dooku, Maul, Palpatine, Jango, the new planets, ships, squeaky clean environments like Coruscant (not everything has to be worn/lived in and in desert planets), background jedi, etc, etc.
I mean the OT had bad stuff as well. Besides Ewoks, we had Whiny and overly complaining Luke. Underwhelming saber fights, Luke thinking he is a Jedi master by training like 2 weeks max, when a Jedi apprentice usual becomes a Master no sooner than maybe late teens from training since a toddler. Boba comically dying, the god fuqing awful new singer/song in Jabas lair.

Anyhow ST is crap , mostly because of the characters being shit.

Jedi Knight =/= Jedi Master, Inhuman 😛

Padawan ---> Jedi (Knight) ---> Jedi Master

Yeah yeah lol, you know what i meant. 2 weeks of training and Luke is already challenging Vader and Palps lol.
Was cool at the time but after the lore was expanded upon, that seemed silly tbh.
I know there is more to it than that (daddy/son feelings, Palp wanting a new apprentice) but still was silly looking back at it.

Yeah, good post overall, I just couldn't control my nerdrage 👆
